Newk’s used to be my favorite sandwich place in town. But it has slowly declined over the years, cutting far too many corners. They removed their wonderful roast beef sandwich from the menu a while ago, and now have replaced the fresh shrimp on their shrimp po boy with dry breaded shrimp, reminiscent of what you would get at a fast food place like Popeye’s. Despite them obviously using cheaper ingredients, the price of the sandwich has not gone down a cent. The staff seem to be random college students that have little regard for the customers.

Wow….$14 for some brownish wilty romaine lettuce. You would think they would check there lettuce before serving it. This is just ridiculous that the quality of this restaurant just continues to disappoint. I keep trying to come back, but somethings either always missing from the order or its just poor quality inspection of food served here and the lack of care they do not give for there overpriced food. So disappointed yet again with this establishment and not checking food or reading tickets correctly to get peoples orders right. This is stuff a child could do correctly.

Gentleman with longer dark hair and a beard greeted us, took our order, then immediately jumped in to help restock and clean tables. Even though they were slammed (Sunday after church), everyone was so friendly, cleaning, restocking, and hustling. My favorite Newks BY FAR!!!

We arrived at 8pm an hour before close and you always worry about the quality of food and the mood of the staff. Not here! The food was so dang tasty and fresh that we all can’t say enough good about it. Thank you for making sure every customer has a great meal no matter what time they show up!

Each time is a little more disappointing. Today, my loaded potato soup was pure liquid. No potato chunks like usual. The visit before that, my soup had potato chunks in it but they were hard and not all the way done. The cleanliness of the restaurant is also going down. When i pulled to the back today to pick-up my order, trash was everywhere. The floor on the inside is always dirty. Even the refrigetated area to pick up to go items is not visually clean. I complete the surveys on the site but I have never been contacted. I have hopes that these things can be rectified.

I come to this Newks often. Never an issue. I’m hooked on the bbq chicken pizza. For a sandwich place I didn’t expect the pizza to be that good but it’s fabulous. Even when they’re busy somehow is still doesn’t take long for my order.

Use to be one of my favorite place to eat in Clinton, but in the last month the quality and service have go down the drain. Today decided to order by phone since the place have been very dirty on my last visits and it was a good decision cause was dirty in fact. When arrived home just notice they forgot to place the ranch dressing and silverware (plastic one). Then open the Cobb salad that was missing bacon and croutons. If they don’t change this bad customer service will not suggest anyone to go there.
