A friend recommended this restaurant @ a year ago. Let me tell you, I wished I had listened then. The food was D-Liscious!!! Hot! Well seasoned( not like some over seasoned, salty Soul food), and the portion was more than enough to satisfy our hunger!! The atmosphere was very comfortable and soothing. The owner, DJ, and chef, Eric, was very hospitable. My hubby and I talked about the ” good” experience of being in the company of authenticity. We were so stuffed and satisfied! They even gave me what I asked for: the corner of the cornbread! Yummy!Definitely a comeback for us!

The owner and cook here are so very nice!!!!! The food was delicious! Best okra soup, seasoned just right but it was over rice so I wouldn’t really call it soup. Fried pork chops and Lima beans(the big ones) were tasty. The chicken perlo was ok but had several small bones in it. The interior was ok and clean but the outside needs some attention. Flowers and tables outside would be very nice! They really had a lot to choose from, desserts were abundant!!!! Will return.

Y’all. This place is it! I don’t EVER leave reviews. But when I tell you CHECK IT OUT… DOOO ITTTT! I got turkey wings, rice and gravy, Mac n cheese, and green beans. It was absolutely delicious. It’s amazing prices. Great people working there. Lovely environment. And the music is perfect! I love 45 mins away and will definitely be driving here again!

Gail’s has the best fried chicken wings in town! Hands down! Strawberry cake was tasty and moist. Gail’s homemade punch was good too! We will definitely be back for more and look forward to having Gail’s cater our Birthday events! Let’s support this Tasty business so they can be around for years to come! Great experience!

Babyyyyy ! The food was a hit . I got the baked chicken with rice and gravy , macaroni, yams, and greens beans . EVERYTHING WAS SOOOO GOOD . The staff was super friendly and checked on us numerous times . Although I’m not from the Charleston area I will be making it a must stop whenever I’m in town . Please go eat there , the food is definitely work it !

I’ve had Gail’s before and both times the meal was really good , today though I was very disappointed. I ordered the red rice w fish and had macaroni on the side. The macaroni was burnt , the red rice was grainy , and the fish was over seasoned. I feel for the price the food should have been a little better prepared.

This was our first time eating here. The turkey wing and cabbage reminds me of my mom’s cooking in my younger days. The fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and corn bread was equally amazing. The only thing better than the food was the warm welcome we received and the wonderful service we received. If you’re craving delicious down home cooking this is the place to go. My only regret is I had no room for the yummy looking cakes they had available. I guess I’ll have to go back for a dessert only day.

I really enjoyed the greens and yams. I would probably drive there just for it. The seafood salad was very good as well I wasn’t expecting it to be after I saw it was imitation crab meat. One of my kid meal had dried up macaroni but the other one, his was fresh. Should have just tossed the last little bit since it was the same order. They didn’t have the specials on the board though. Let’s just erase it off the board. The drinks were good as well. I will be back to try the cabbage.
