Where to start? Barry Street and his team have created a “don’t miss” dining experience. Seriously, if you are in the Madison, MS area, or you are just passing through the state, you have to schedule a stop here (try the Highway 61 burger!). Everything on the menu is delicious and the pride and attention to detail that arrives with each plate placed on your table shines. Four of us gathered for a food experience in the world of southern BBQ. We chose Burgers Blues Barbecue in Madison. We’ve traveled to many bbq restaurants in our search for the best brisket. Sometimes it’s the smaller restaurants with the best bbq brisket and Burgers Blues Barbecue is a good example. Not only was the brisket sandwich outstanding but the baked beans are the best I’ve tasted anywhere. I had the brisket sandwich with sourdough bread. This was soft bread, perfect for the sandwich. They put cole slaw in the sandwich…giving the meat/cole slaw combination an exceptional taste.

Just experienced the most wonderful thing today. We went to a place in Madison Mississippi called Burgers blues BBQ at 2077 Main st. This place was totally amazing. From the front entrance until you sit down you know you’re in the Zone. The staff were incredibly friendly and very welcoming and knowledgeable about their menu.

We ordered the Dirty bird and the brisket plate. The Dirty bird was delicious and the fried pickles were very good. The mac and cheese and fried green tomatoes were great. Unfortunately the brisket plate was dry and flavorless. I also asked for no sauce because I had my own at home, but it was drizzled with sauce. We ordered delivery so there was nothing that could have been done to correct the problem. Overall, it was a good experience and I will definitely try it again.

This burger was so good my first time I went back again the next day! I had the comeback burger on sourdough the first time, and the sonic boom on sourdough the second time. Both were excellent and a good size burger. Their onions rings tasted home made and went great with the comeback sauce. I really can’t wait to try their breakfast and BBQ! This place feels like one of the hidden gems for Madison.

I love this place. One of the few restaurants that have chick fil a customer service. The food is really good as well. I would frequent more if they had more options on the menu but every time I have been has been a great experience. Their breakfast is also really good. Chicken and waffles are very tasty and they give a pretty good portion. They also let you accumulate points for more savings. Hope they never leave Madison.
