My family and I had an absolutely wonderful experience dining in at Republic BBQ. The servers were quick and attentive, the barbecue was fresh and delicious, and the owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Was very busy when we got there, it was opening day and Labor Day. Food and Service were great. The inside has been completely redone and is very nicely done. Definitely going back and highly recommend.

Let’s clarify. This is a small town so the reviews have a huge bias due to the “know” in town. So honesty. When you arrive the remodel is actually nicely done. You walk in, and it’s loud, take road house loud and remove all sound dampening material, add stone, metal, hard wood and you get audio piling on audio so yelling is KEY. From there it’s to what is supposed to be the que for people to stand in line and this is a complaint to West Columbia not the restaurant, USE THE LINE…. The waiting area, is hot. Radiating heat in the main lobby area. Don’t know why, it just is. And the worst part, it also meant the restaurant isn’t that refreshing cold you need right now. The bar stools will slip under you if you are too short , probably should add something to help. Watched an elderly woman fight for her life to get down from the bar stools at the bar. Day 2 and out of potatoes. Sad but whatever… We got our food to go due to heat and noise. When we got home , we found our sides were missing from the order , tried to call a few times with no answer.

Went to republic BBQ for the opening and I’m so impressed! The food was excellent, portions were great, and the service was very fast! The owners were extremely kind and attentive and were walking around the whole time making sure that customers were taken care of! Can’t wait to revisit! I def recommend the 3 meat plate with ribs, lean brisket, and jalapeño sausage! Also loved the Mac n cheese and beans! Thank you!

It was just okay. I know it was the first day, so they have lots of kinks to work out. Cute inside. Out of ribs and desserts today. Waited over 20 min to get the order taken because they were backed up on togo orders. Maybe do them in the back. Food was just okay. Husband liked the sausage. You have to ask for sauce, which tastes really sweet. Service was okay 7 min later, once she came out of the restroom. The sides were small, being $4 each. We ordered a kids’ meal, a one meat plate, a two meet plate, 3 drinks and it was $70.00. I don’t think we will be back. Not that food was meh, but we prefer fill station, Brian’s bbq better. Also, live in Lake jackson.

The food was just ok. Sides are great not a lot for $4 but hey they tasted great! The mains I felt were cooked in an electric smoker so missing that wood flavor. BBQ sauce needed. Service was slammed but they managed. One of our parties were stuck At register for over 15 mins. The bar staff was great had a few issues with ticket but was handled with care. More communication needs to be had behind register and floor staff. Overall would eat here again after a review of their processes.
