Such a lovely place for lunch on the patio. Everything was excellent and felt like a little escape to the south of France. Wonderful service and the food was delicious.

Cafe’ Provence is a very nice, restaurant that provides authentic French cuisine and atmosphere. The food is absolutely amazing !! The desserts are very decadent and rich in beauty and flavor…..more of an expensive place to eat, but worth it….. Angus was our Waiter Ambassador and made my experience very pleasant.

This place was recommended to us by word of mouth and it did not at all disappoint. A multi-award winning restaurant, I treated my wife to this place for her birthday dinner and we absolutely loved it. The staff was friendly and attentive and our service was great. The restaurant is pretty small, so I recommend a reservation, but very nice for an intimate setting and a classy atmosphere. To start, I had the soupe du jour, which was a potato and artichoke soup. It was pureed and delicious. For my entree, I had le fletan, the Alaskan halibut with shrimp bisque sauce, sweet corn polenta, and chanterelles. The fish was cooked perfectly and all the flavors went together very well and it was easy to eat, not too heavy. My wife had the poitrine de poulet aux morilles, a pan-seared chicken breast. She loved the cook of the chicken skin and the chicken was juicy as well. The gratin potatoes with it were especially tasty. I wish we saved room for dessert, because I assume that would have been amazing as well!

Everything we had here was excellent. My wife loved every bite of her Quiche Lorraine. She declared it the best she has ever had.

Stopped in for lunch. Granted we were 30 min late for our reservation ( I did call and let them know we were running late in advance) and were told we only had an hour, which was fine with us. We ordered French onion soup which was very tasty and then were told 3 more times how much time we had left. Starting to get annoying now as we got it the first time. Needless to say, no time to order food. Not sure if we will go back.

Definitely, a great place to put on the list for KC restaurants, I was probably expecting more flavors, but no complaints, the service was great, the food was excellent and the environment was very relaxed great for a romantic dinner or a couple’s birthday celebration.

I’ll get straight to it. Souffle is the only item I will come back for over and over again.. maybe if wait staff stops being snooty. My short rib was fatty. The potatoes were bland. My fiance had the salmon and lacked seasoning and flavor. There is no warmth to the restaurant. I’m not sure who the older lady is with short white hair, but she chooses what tables to stop by, be friendly, and chat. I’m sure they are locals, but as first timers and new to the city, a smile or hello doesn’t take much. It also goes down to the wait staff. Just because it’s a French restaurant, it was utterly pretentious.

It’s a genuine pleasure to eat food prepared by people who know what they’re doing. Everything I’ve gotten here was excellent, but I particularly recommend the Tuesday evening prix fixe menu.
