We are still searching for good dimsum coming LA. It was good for Seattle. Shrimp toast was good, it is greasy. The skin for the dumplings were thick. Salt and Pepper was good, needed more pepper, squid was tender. The steam custard buns, wish there was more custard. My brother likes sesame balls. They ran out of bake taro and bake custard bun. Overall it was good.

Dim sum house was our happy coincidence. It’s probably the best affordable fresh made Guang Dong dim sum in the area! We dined in and tried 9 different dim sum. My personal favorites were the shrimp dumplings, siu mai, bbq pork rice roll, and fresh baked taro buns. The dumpling stuffing was generous. Delivery was higher than expected.

The dim sum here is very good. The place is small and sometimes service can be a little slow but they’re always busy and it’s worth the wait. This has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. Prices are reasonable and food is delicious.

We wanted to introduce our nephew to dim sum, so we brought him here. It was our first time at Dim Sum House, too. It was busy and we purposely went after the lunch rush, but we took that as a good sign. The servers were busy but they were not rude. The food was delicious! This is a wonderful small place, so you give your order to the server and they deliver it directly from the kitchen. Everything that came out looked good and we enjoyed all that we ordered. We especially liked the salt and pepper squid, zongzi, and the soup dumplings. Would definitely go again!

Over the past years they’ve developed a more comprehensive menu and I’m happy to have a go-to place on Beacon Hill. Shrimp toast, sesame balls, crispy sesame balls, stuff eggplant, turnip cakes have consistently been top notch options. However, wait times can be super inconsistent (anything fried takes way longer), so have limited expectations when putting in big orders….

This past weekend we had the incredible honor of having Dim Sum House cater our wedding and they knocked it out of the park in such a big way that it’s almost too difficult to describe. Sam and his crew effortlessly fed our 170 famished guests with multiple rounds of food, and while my husband and I didn’t get to personally eat as much as we’d like (because wedding) everything we had was a delight (we’ve also eaten there before and are big fans). Major hits were the pork siu mai and the pan-fried shrimp chive cakes but the banger that our guests still won’t shut up about days later were the salt and pepper wings. It’s a little upsetting to be upstaged at your own wedding by something as straight-forward as wings but it happened and it’s a decision we’ll live with happily ever after. Cannot recommend enough and are we are now and forever Dim Sum House ride-or-dies.

The new owners have done a great job carrying on the wonderful traditions of the previous owners. One of the only places around where I can find Shrimp Toast! Don’t sleep on this great little dim sum place on Beacon Hill.

Stopped in for lunch before visiting the Museum of Flight. Easy parking. Staff was friendly and place was clean, but service was slow. All the food was tasty especially the shrimp and chive dumpling. I would come back just for this unique dim sum item.
