My wife and I were given a gift certificate to RHouse, and we had tried for months to get there to use it. We first walked in, not knowing you had to have a reservation. Then we tried doing an order to pick up, and the owners were out of town. We finally made it last Friday evening, two weeks after the certificate expired. They were gracious enough to still honor the certificate, plus we added our daughter at the last minute a day they made room for her as well.

I cannot write enough wonderful things about RHouse. My husband and I were vacationing from NJ, so we tend to have slightly high food standards given where we live, and RHouse did not disappoint. This was hands down some of the best food we have ever had. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. The sangria was also amazing, so much flavor! Not only was the food fantastic but Juan, the owner was so incredibly friendly, caring, and welcoming. He really spent his time getting to know us and made us feel like we were the only customers at his cozy restaurant. Almost everyone that walked in he seemed to know and greeted them with the warmest welcome. I wish this restaurant wasn’t so far away from home or else this would 100% be a regular spot.

It is a gem! Everybody was extremely friendly and the food did not disappoint. We had the frozen sangria, honey apple salad, mushroom dish, short ribs, baby back ribs, key lime cheese cake and brownie! The mushroom dish was my favorite. Mushroom in a garlic butter. Went well with bread and even more delicious on top of the mash potatoes with my main course. The ribs were tender and juicy. Both of the deserts were delicious but the warm brownie was the best! Highly recommend stoping if you’re in the area! Reservation are highly encouraged

RHouse is a contender with the Michelin star restaurants I have visited. The establishment is beautifully designed. The owners (Juan and his lovely wife) make dinning an experience from start to finish. The menu and wine selection were second to none. The spinach artichoke dip and charcuterie were amazing. We also had the chicken verde, the winter salad, the baby back ribs, and the chicken lasagna and could not decide which dish was our favorite. We were celebrating my 39th birthday during our visit and the Juan’s wife (who is also the amazingly talented chef) agreed to make a delicious cake for us to celebrate. I cannot say enough wonderful things about RHouse, the atmosphere, cuisine, owners and staff. They made my birthday a wonderful experience I will never forget!

My husband and I were in Shenandoah for our honeymoon and this was our favorite meal. We shared a bottle of sparking and charcuterie board. He had the short ribs and I had the beef lasagna, both were AMAZING. We finished the meal with the Spanish Flan, recommended by the owner. We truly had the best dining experience and felt right at home.

My husband and I came to the area to celebrate our one year anniversary. We had a wonderful dinner at RHouse and loved the staff there, as they were very warm and welcoming. I started with the winter salad which was lite and nice and had the short ribs as my main entree. I think the short rib was a bit more beef stew-like and I’d probably order something different the next time. I appreciated that they were super accommodating and gave me all veggies instead of the accompanying mashed potatoes (which my husband said were awesome btw). My hubby had the ribs and he just raved about them. I had a bite and agree they were yummy! Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be back. It’s a small place, so I definitely recommend a reservation.
