The upside is that the food is presented fast. The cakes are phenomenal. The place was clean and very organized. Unfortunately it’s all down hill from there. The atmosphere feels as if you’re in their way. This is definitely my first and last time visiting this establishment. I spent over $30 for my client and the quality of the food and customer service was unacceptable. The oxtails were not tender, the greens are sugary and they add their own fees to your receipts. I still left a tip but I won’t be back. CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING WOULD DEFINITELY ADD TO THEIR SUCCESS.

Everything I ordered was AMAZING. The Crocker fish was seasoned well and fried to perfection. The Mac-n-cheese had great flavor and the texture was on point. The greens were “tasty”. They didn’t have that vinegary taste that I hate. They had a slightly sweet taste which I didn’t mind although I thought I wouldn’t like. The slight sweetness didn’t overpower the savory taste of the collards. I’m glad I ordered them. They were fabulous! The fried green tomatoes were the best I’ve ever had. I liked them because despite being fried the texture of the actual tomato was crisp despite being fried. The flavor of the seasoning used to fry the tomatoes paired well with the tangy flavor of the green tomatoes. One of the greatest thing about my soul food meal was that it was not a greasy mess like most fried foods can be. I loved my entire meal.

This was my first time eating there! I will be back. I got the meatloaf plate and it was fantastic! The meat was seasoned well, the fried okra was great, the yams were FANTASTIC! My husband ordered the party wings and he enjoyed them!

The best and closest meal options you’ll find to a home cooked meal. There are lots of meal options that are offered depending on the day of the week. The restaurant has a pretty nice sized dinner style set up, with tvs playing sports.
