My husband took me here as a surprise for our first wedding anniversary and it was beyond lovely. Our greeter, servers, and the manager were so friendly and welcoming. The food was exquisite, and the ambiance was relaxing. Went on a Thursday night in the middle of June and there was still plenty of available seating, but it’s better safe than sorry to make a reservation. Also let the host know if you’re celebrating a special event; my husband and I got complementary glasses of champagne at the end of our meal!

Great place! I’m half Belgium and grew up with french food all around. The quality is amazing and you can tell everything is fresh from the salmon to the beef. My main was the Steak Frites ~ a NY strip which was perfectly cooked along side some truffle fries that was amazing. Been here 3 times and it’s a definite try on 23rd Ave. Snails were the best Ive ever had anywhere, don’t beat it til you try! Dessert was amazing. Friends got lemon tarts while I got molten chocolate cake served with ice cream. Amazing.

My quest to find the world’s best French Onion Soup continues in Queens. I can report to my fans that while the search must continue, Chez Olivia definitely has a delicious one. Other standouts include the chicken confit sandwich (easily a 5/5), and the outstanding service. Bravo!

A wonderful classic French bistro in Astoria. Food was excellent from the escargo to lamb lollipops. Service was a bit leisurely, but warm. Good wine selection.

Went on a solo date. The host/waiter was incredible. Even with him dealing with 4 other tables he was still attentive.

What a lovely meal! Been wanting to stop in this place for a while now. It was raining so french onion soup and mussels sounded like a bet. The hype is real. Highly recommend stopping in for a bite and awesome service. Definitely can’t wait to go back.

The brunch was absolutely delicious! Our party of four was seated in the garden area which was so very cozy. We started with the frosé which was tasty and quite refreshing on this warm day. Three of us ordered from the prix fixe menu which offered a nice selection and one had the lobster & shrimp sandwich (delish!). Appetizers chosen were the soup of the day which was a chilled broccoli soup, paté, and the quiche. Entrees were the hangar steak and a burger. Dessert was the apple tart served with a scoop of ice cream. When I tell you it was good, believe me! I had my fork in everything! BTW, Giovanni our server was awesome also!

We stumbled upon Chez Olivia after another eatery had an hour wait. Thank God we did! We loved everything about this restaurant. They had a cute outdoor backyard eatery which was warm and cozy. Our waiter Sam was exceptional. He was professional, informative, and friendly. The food was AMAZING. We had the branzino which was like butter. And the Caesar salad with shrimp and lobster was fresh and delicious. French fries were perfect as were the steak and scallops. Desserts were perfect too. I loved that when we asked for tap water they also brought us several slices of lemon and lime. This place is 5 plus stars. Will definitely be returning!

The food was absolutely exceptional. Some of the most authentic and excellent French bistro food I’ve had in America. Our server Sam was an absolute delight, and a highlight of our night.
