At our Huntington, WV location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Really really great food, the fish, the shrimp, hush puppies, slaw and the funnel sticks for dessert all were great!! The place was clean, the restrooms were clean. The people working were really really nice. My one issue was there wasn’t a line (we were running in) and it did take them a while to ask us for our orders, but other than that it was most awesome!! If your near it and hungry, you shouldn’t be disappointed!!

Highly disappointed in this Captain D’s, paid $43.00 for food that was uneditable. Clams were so nasty and over cooked they were like trying to chew rubber. The whitefish was also like rubber. The rice was also terrible and dry. Hush puppies were extremely greasy. There was nothing worth eating that we ordered. Absolutely terrible. Do not recommend this location.

I get the chicken strip dinner and it is amazing! My grandpa gets the fish dinner and he really enjoys it. It’s closer to about $10 a Person. Not bad at all.

Great food & great walk up & drive thru service with a short wait in line. My favorite to eat here is the blackened salmon meal with sweet tea. 10 shrimp on the side if a little extra hungry & baked potato.

The food is good but I’m not happy. I used the app and it said you closed at 11 on Fridays. It also says that on the website. I placed an order thru the app, got there at 10:10 and it was closed. I can’t get a refund at the store, I have to get it online so right now, I’m just out $8.00. It’s not a big deal but it’s very poor customer service.

Fries improved. Slaw just as bad as always. It’s like eating center of a cabbage head, hard. Fish very good. Stopped ordering chicken. It’s always chewy, short and tasteless.

Wow I just put a review in and the saintly manager already replied. I hope everyone in Huntington goes through this amazing seafood restaurant. I’m going to write a really good review the highest Command Center/ highest Supreme Court explaining the importance of why and how to have Captain D’s in every Stat and every country.
