Deli on the Green is a Great Neck landmark. I always make my way back here when visiting. Food is a bit expensive but so is living in Great Neck. Fantastic sandwiches and best part is you can eat at the beautiful park across the street.

They became so expensive they should change their name to Deli for people with green. My simple egg salad was $10.00. But my urge for this sandwich soon was decimated as it had an under tone flavor of Mustard!. I heard Hellmans stopped shipping to South Africa. Do you think the Green is also rationing?

This deli has no Covid protocols in place. No masks on workers, no masks required for patrons. And to add insult to injury, the owner put up an ignorant sign in the window because so many patrons complained about it! Extremely RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! (See photo)

Good quality. The food is very good, but slow service. Have tried ordering several times in advance but the order is never ready when you get there. It used to be overstuffed sandwiches at a good price, it’s now undersized for what you pay.

Ok so while I’m as working at ledermans a few coworkers and I came here for lunch. The people were cool. I ordered a turkey burger and they didn’t have any more. So I decided on a salad. With tuna.The guy chopped my salad up so much that after the tuna and dressings I was almost eating baby food. Like. Where’s the salad? They gave sesame sticks to go with it and it helped. But it was almost impossible to eat especially if you have texture problem like me lol. It was mush. N I ordered spinach. Nothing could be distinguished after the excessive chops . I was disappointed but had no time but 45 mins . So I kind of wasted 14$ for nothing. Don’t overly chop the salad wth. We have teeth. it was a bowl of baby food. But the place seemed clean and even offered pre made hot food that looked pretty good. I should of just had the chicken and broccoli pasta. Stay away from the chopped salad baby food. No good

I don’t normally write reviews unless I’m overly satisfied! I’ve been coming here ever since the new management took over around 2008. Best bfast/lunch spot in Great Neck period! Amazing and generous employees, always making sure I’m fully taken care of. The food is delicious and their iced coffees and green teas have such a great taste compared to other places. This place has it all! Thank you Gary and the team!

Best deli in all of great neck. The sandwiches are a bit pricey but worth it, and the iced coffee is a must have for anyone in need of some caffeine. Staff are always friendly and ready to get your day started right, or provide service with a smile during a lunch break!
