Ordered via, “Too good to go” app. Arrived to see several pans of decent looking Chinese food in metal containers in the glass case. As I was waiting, 5 men walked in and she apparently gave them my 3 dinners. Nearly $20, and she tried to send me home with 2 and 1/2 huge containers of porridge. Tried to send me out with one dinner. But I wouldn’t go. Finally got 2 dinners, and a porridge. Cold, bland, vegetables were mushy & there was no meat whatsoever. Ugh… Never again!

Cool old school counter service. Lots of great options. All the meats we got were fantastic and reasonably priced. We had the duck, brisket, and short rib.

They use organic duck for their roast duck (and great prices at only 22.99 for a whole duck). The seasoning of the duck is really good here. The two older gentlemen working behind the meat counter are friendly. I’ve tried their roast ducks, char siu, pork belly with crackling, and some prepared foods. All are delicious

Ordered a whole bbq duck. It tasted great and was a good value. The servers were also polite. The duck had duck flavour and was not over marinated !

Tried this place through Too Good To Go, and it was a fair value. Dropped by at 5:40 when they close at 6 and the food was already completely cold, which was okay for me since I signed up for and expected leftovers, but would not be good for anyone who wants to get regular takeout at that time. The lady also tried to up-sell various random other items multiple times, which was awkward to turn down because I just wanted to get my food and go. Overall $5.99 for a full box of leftovers was a decent value but the persistent upselling, food temperature, and the fact that the regular price isn’t that much more for the same variety will probably stop me from coming back consistently.

The staff in the store would push you to buy some stuff. When we indicated we don’t want to buy it, they became unhappy. Also, it is unclear how they calculate the price but it is not the same as what was listed on the board (even considering the taxes) would never come back…. This type of food can be found in lots of restaurants in Bay Area and San Francisco.

A blissfuly old-fashioned steam table dim sum restaurant with either sit-down or take-out where three items plus rice and tea is about $5. The flavors are pungent, strong, and full-bodied with whole spice ingredients including entire cloves of garlic and black beans. An enormous heaping mound of vegetables and meat are ready for eating in a minute or two. A very modest, picnic-like setting where you have to be a bit wary of the table surface before setting your tray down, but nonetheless a deep immersion in Chinatown culture, especially many senior citizens, and a vigorous staff with their loud banter bouncing off the walls while serving up every steaming plates of delicacies.
