The food was really delicious! The chicken was crisp and flavorful, the Mac and Cheese was scrumptious, the collard greens were savory and the cornbread was fluffy. The sides complimented the chicken well. My only issue is that the one side chicken plate (small) was $10 while the two side chicken plate (large) was $18. I understand inflation but that seems like it’s too steep. $10 seems like a great value meal while $18 seems like it’s overpriced. Just my two cents.

I walked in and saw the beautiful interior of the restaurant. It was super cozy. I saw that the place was black owned and had high expectations that this place was going to be bussin. We ordered the chicken dinner and catfish dinner. I got in the car, picked up the box and was confused. It was super light and so I thought the box was empty. I opened it and this is what I saw. I can’t even be mad. I’m just disappointed.

The Mac n cheese wasn’t what I liked in my opinion. It was a golden color. Like melted cheese. I like mine to look like it’s actually been in the oven. And for some reason when I asked for it to be browned more. They took it in the back. But came out with it looking the same.

Tried here for the first time this past Sunday with high expectations for some good ole authentic soul food “Sunday dinner” I spent well over $50 for 2 dinner plates to go. I didn’t mind the extra fees because I had high hopes the food quality would make up for its price….When I opened my plates, I was sooo disappointed…To my surprise, Food was very dry and unseasoned , baked mac and the potato salad had no flavor, I tried the beef rice for the 1st time and it wasn’t cooked all the way. It was very hard and crunchy Overall Food wasn’t edible. I didn’t bother calling the restaurant to complain because I won’t try it again! I just ended up tossing the food away SADLY What a waste of $$57!

I usually have a good experience with Gee gees and my food is always very yummy. Today I got a large fish dinner and large chicken dinner my chicken was not seasoned and my yams on both of my dinners was COLD and my corn bread was cold. When the owner is there the food is great it shouldn’t take her to be there for her workers to follow protocol!

Greeted the moment me and my family entered. The receptionist was attentive and helpful in choosing sides. I was unhappy with the prices upon ordering with all of the upcharges, but the food was DELICIOUS! Myself and my 3 very picky kids all loved it.

Very high expectations. Saw it when construction was taken place. Very beautiful inside, like many other soul food spots you wait about 20 mins for the food so it’s fresh. Fresh it was, however, the quantity does not match the prices here. Just wish we got a little more bang for the buck.

Today was my second time here and all I can say is this place is the best!!! Today was a private party but they let us come in and eat with the party. The jag rice is the best I have ever had and I could live my life only eating it forever. The fried chicken is unparalleled thee best in the city. The corn bread is better then cake! Your staff amazing! Thank you so much. I will be back best believe ♥️

Food was excellent. Mac and Cheese was ultra flavorful and baked. Make sure to ask for a side of the jerk sauce, it’s super good on the chicken. Yams and collard greens were also great. Will definitely be back
