This is our absolute favorite place to eat every week. It is a part of our routine and we always love the food, drinks and service. Everyone is so nice and they do such a great job creating our food into amazing masterpieces. The nachos are my favorite, and my partner loves the burritos. Margaritas they make are also amazing! We look forward to coming here and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal.

Tucked away in an unassuming corner of Washington DC, Sol Mexican Grill stands as a delightful hole-in-the-wall establishment that serves up some of the city’s most authentic Mexican cuisine. While it may lack the glamour and table service of upscale restaurants, this humble eatery surprises visitors with its warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and mouthwatering dishes. Let’s delve into what makes Sol Mexican Grill a true hidden gem for food enthusiasts.

This spot is good and on a steady up and becoming H st. If you are from the DMV you know H st. Came along way. The food was at good proportion sizes. It was tasty with veggie and meat options. It’s in DC so pay to park in the street. Those parking patrollers are out there and ready to give tickets. But enjoy yourself out there. The restaurant gives good drinks as well. There are also good spots next to it. Enjoy it.

The service was amazing , but the food just wasn’t that good to me. I had got the rice bowl with chicken , beans , corn , and cheese with the chipotle sauce and honestly the sauce was the only thing I liked. That you to the cashiers and cooks, for keeping smiles on their faces and being awesome but the food just didn’t have flavor to me .

The Food is amazing!!! Always fresh & flavorful. My kid loves the quesadillas. The staff is not very friendly tho, their attitudes are not very welcoming but since it’s a take out spot, just ignore them lol highly recommend if you’re near H street & looking for Mexican

I’ve been coming to Sol for about 5 years and I must say over the last ten months, there’s been a consistent and steady decline in the quality of my experience. From the staff being short and rushing my order (even when there isn’t a line), trying to avoid giving guacamole with veggie tacos/nachos/burritos, barely giving any guacamole when being politely reminded, and the staff having a standoffish disposition when greeted with politeness, I’m through with Sol. I’ve honestly been trying to give this establishment the benefit of doubt because I really enjoyed the food at one point in time. But, I don’t plan on returning after my awful experiences there.

Authentic and flavorful. Pick your combinations. I recommend the pork/carnitas for the meat-sooo good.

The food here is ok. I get the burrito. The chicken was alright, but you really can’t beat the size of it. I prefer chipotle for taste. However, if I want a lot of food, I’ll come here.

I ordered and asked to use the restroom and was told to go outside or upstairs. The sign on the door says bathroom only for customers. I was a customer and picked up a $30 order. Never coming hear again. If you’re Black, the attitudes come out from the Latino women preparing the food. Oh well.

Sol is what chipotle aspires to be! Lol. No, seriously.. it is great and cheap Mexican food. I have been there a few times by now and have tried different dishes such a tacos, burritos and bowls. This time around I have chicken nachos and my bf ordered chicken quesadilla. They were both on point but I will say their guacamole is overpriced. They also had District Daiquiri —spiked slushees. They were good but super weak. Overall the experience was 8/10
