Our server was great, which helped with our visit. The biggest challenge is finding parking because of the location (Clarendon area). The restaurant is more focused on all-you-can eat bbq, which I’m sure is good based on the crowd, but my wife and I wanted a smaller meal. By moving to the bar we were able to take advantage of happy hour prices. There was adequate seating and the place was clean. We had the chili yuzu roast beef (delicious), garlic shoo cabbage ( great), gyoza (also great), and tuna poke nachos (I think my wife liked). It’s a nice place but better for a younger crowd.

My all time favorite is prime short rib: every time I eat there with my friends, we order at least five dishes of it.

Went there for my birthday last night and had a wonderful time! The set up is very comfortable and the overall atmosphere was very nice. The food was very tasty, all of the meat was well seasoned and marinated. The side dishes were great too, and whatever I didn’t finish I was able to take home. Will be returning!

This is my favorite place! I take the metro from DC out here at least once a week. The staff is friendly and super helpful. The service is always quick and organized. The food hits different every single time!!!

Terrific meal and experience. We do Korean bbq all over the world, and this Japanese version rates right up there among the best. We splurged on the Wagyu beef and it came with truffle salt and wasabi. Best dish by far. But all the meats were also great. We loved grilling it ourselves. Cocktails are also pretty good. Could use more wine selection but the white they have is good.

It was my first time coming here , I think how it works is that you have to pick which food course you want depending on how many people you have, the rice is not unlimited so be mindful of how much rice you can eat , the experience was great cuz it felt like a Korean bbq but not really, the s’mores was a great touch to finish a meal

The first time I had Gyu-Kaku was in NYC. Fell in love with it, found out there was one in Arlington so I had to try it out. I have since been to this Arlington location twice.

Absolutely love this spot. The quality of the meats and sides are excellent. I first tried this in LA and after finding out they had a location in Arlington I had to try it. While it is very expensive, I think every now and then splurging a little on such a great meal is worth it.

I regret not going there sooner. We always pick the Meat Lovers option. Aside from the food being delicious, it is such a fun and entertaining experience. The service is amazing at timing the arrival of dishes to the table, so you can plan only a few steps ahead and then get surprised again. Definitely worth it.
