Stopped on our way through town on a long trip. Got there at 11:30 on Sunday and the restaurant was very full but we sat at the only available table. Ordered before 11:40, and waited. The restaurant began to clear consistently and the waitresses both seemed to focus more on cleaning and prepping to close than the people in there. The table next to us had six people compared to our two and a toddler, and they had already ordered. At 12:20 the table next to us told the waitress that if their food had not been started to forget about it and that they were leaving (they were very obviously annoyed as they had a baby with them too and some of their party had already left as well). The waitress assured them there food was almost done, but it still took another 15 minutes for them to all be served. After over a full hour I went to the counter and told the waitress we were not waiting any longer and I would pay for my coffee. She was rude and seemed offended that we weren’t willing to wait longer, after over an hour wait. She charged me $5 for the coffee, one cup, no refills. I could be mistaken, but I’m nearly certain the menu has a cup of coffee listed at $2.50. There are some very serious customer service issues here. We will never go back and I sure hope others don’t waste their time.

Not often that a place hits a home run, but my breakfast this morning did! Big mug of strong hot coffee came quick. My River Omelet was filled with sausage bacon peppers and onions. The home fries were cooked the way I like them, well done. Even the rye toast hit the spot. Great service and reasonably priced, definitely 5 stars!

My wife and I visited this little breakfast nook for the first time last month and found the portions of food to be larger than expected. The food was cooked well, but bland. The waitress was moving fast from table to table and was all business. The atmosphere was not inviting. The price tag for the meal was $43.50 for 2 people. I cannot say that the price tag was a surprise to me as the prices are on the menu, but I can say that we will not be going to the restaurant again. I was hopeful that we had found a hidden jewel.

The food was excellent but the service was less to be desired. The waitress was busy and I understand that. It seemed like no one communicates. When first got there we didn’t know whether to wait to be seated or seat ourselves until someone said seat yourselves. We had a waitress come up to us asking if we ordered a coke and we didn’t buy mine was low so I said I would take another and handed me the one she had. We waited for a good 10 minutes before getting our check after our plates were cleared. If they could get organized I would of rated them differently.

Server was amazing! Food was great! Food came out perfect timing! One of the waitresses gave our little one some goldfish to hold her over til our food came out which was so sweet!! Definitely will be going back!

Excellent atmosphere, food is good, however I observed two major faults and one minor; beef was prepared well done when asked for medium rare, and the fries were s bit soggy. The minor fault is the smoked taste in the meats I tried was reminiscent of charcoal, and the addition of ketchup and BBQ was almost necessary for enjoyment; pork was a bit charcoal tasting, beef was fine, bacon just tasted too smoked and was unpleasant. If I’m ever in town again I will definitely visit again as both the food and atmosphere (service, presentation, live entertainment) was great.

The Steak and Egg breakfast was the Best I’ve ever had, the home fries were awesome, great bacon nice and thick. Eggs were perfect, steak was cooked to perfection.

Fantastic food! Everything is smoked in-house with a lot of unique flavors. Good variety of menu choices, nice family-friendly atmosphere, excellent staff! Some of the best food I have had in Massachusetts since moving here a year or so ago.

Not the best breakfast place… Ordered a full plate of eggs, bacon, home fries, sausage, and pancakes. Eggs were done right. Bacon was cooked in bulk and super tough. Sausage was real, not that frozen stuff.. but it was a bit under cooked(which is why a lot of places serve frozen…shame).
