Came here with the family for Mother’s Day on 5-14-23 for the 1st time. Really nice place staff was friendly! Food was amazing. I order the brisket and ribs with green beans and potato salad for the side. Brisket was nice and moist, ribs were tender and had a nice little kick. Simple menu and I will definitely will be back. They had breakfast on there so will return to try that. Definitely better than bill millers!! We will return!

I seek out BBQ places in area I want to try them all. This place is definitely in the top three. I ordered the brisket. It was very tender and the bark on it was amazing. Didn’t even need BBQ sauce but of course I had to try it. Turned out to be good sauce but only used it on few pieces. The sides didn’t disappoint I had the green beans and pinto beans which have that special southern twist on them. I washed it down with some sweet tea. I will be returning in the future for more.

I’ve visited multiple times. My favorite is the chopped baker with chopped brisket. I like that they have a variety of bbq sauce to choose from. Each time their service has been exceptional. Their entire restaurant is very clean! I choose here before I consider Bill Miller.

Easy access from Bulverde Rd. Plenty parking spaces. Like the place decor, old country style. Great customer service. Clean restaurant. We felt welcome as soon as we walk in. Brisket was moist and a good portion. Cream corn is the very good. One of the staff went table by table to check in the service and food. THAT’S AWESOME!!

The food is always good. I usually have it delivered. The turkey is my favorite. The sides are done well. I usually order the Smoky Mo combo with my pick of sides, green beans, mac-n-cheese. I like the fact that I can order a bottled beverage than fountain, which I prefer. The barbecue sauce is excellent. You can even buy a bottle of it. Lastly, I finish my meal off with the banana pudding.

Ok I used to like the food, but this is about the 3rd time the half chicken skin is too salty & almost burnt! Inedible! The Turkey & sides we had were good but y’all need to fix that chicken. Also, I was handed at the drive thru a glass of dark, warm, tea- not 1 piece of ice in it! What the heck….

Ordered take out from Smokey Mo’s. I would highly recommend it. I had a 3 meat platter with brisket, jalapeño sausage, ribs, pinto beans and coleslaw. My son had ribs, brisket, pinto beans and mac & cheese. Everything was excellent. Of the three meats the brisket was my least favorite. I’d say it was good but a little dry and lacked the flavor that the sausage and ribs had. The brisket was the only thing that needed the provided BBQ sauce. The sausage and ribs had awesome flavor and sauce just took away from that. That’s the sign of good BBQ…when you don’t even need sauce. The order pickup was on-time and fast and all utensils, etc were provided. I’d definitely try Mo’s again.
