Great bbq place. Reason for the four star is because I found the brisket a bit dry to my taste. But my husband loved it and so did the kids. We learned about this while taking a boat ride from Patrick (Mossy Brake Camp Swap Tour) and we are glad we came in here. If you are visiting Caddo Lake then for sure stop by this one.

Wow! Traveling home from Galveston. Google reviews said 4.7 out 5. We traveled for another hour to eat lunch at 1:00 pm. So delicious! We were not disappointed! Best ribs we’ve ever had!

The absolute TASTIEST BBQ in this great & historic town. So glad we got to try this spot. The only thing I wish I had was ranch w the great SWAMP FRIES, but it was not available. Food was still legendary, and we will definitely be back ❤️

Boss lady and I came in for a quick lunch, and had a weird encounter with some staff members. It started when we ordered. We are normally asked if we want fatty or lean brisket. Since we were not asked, we asked for fatty. The cashier got snotty with us and said, “Well, I guess I’ll have to tell them.”

Very polite and attentive staff! Bbq is special Southern blend. We had the chopped brisket plate with a great coke slaw AND potato salad! The room is decorated with antiques from railroad to a red Radio Flyer wagon. (I think that’s where they keep the lost hats!) Meals are worth the price. Enjoy this restaurant when you come to Jefferson for antiques and historic sites! Exclamation point!

So, so good! I had the turkey and sausage plate with two sides. The meat was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The potato salad was delicious and homemade, when a lot of BBQ places all serve the same tired prepared stuff. Portions are huge, but I ate every last bite. Highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious. I had the brisket tacos, and my husband had the pork tacos. It was more than enough food. We shared the medium swamp fries, which were great. Just the right amount of flavor. Highly recommend will definitely be back.

Wife and I travel once a year all over the U.S. We ear barbecue everywhere we go. It’s different in every state it seems. This year we stayed in our ho.e state. This place is GREAT! We had bbq nachos and bbq potato. Good price and great taste. I hope to come back to Jefferson. When I do, I will be eating here.
