Don’t let the humble exterior fool you. This place has AMAZING seafood. It may look like just a roadside diner, but the food is divine. The oysters are so fresh, they’ll slap you in the face! My husband will tell you that shrimp are my favorite thing, and while they were good the oysters blew them out of the water. Definitely stop by in the afternoon for charbroiled oysters and crawfish!

Been visiting the area for about a month ans Thompsons is hands down the best I have tried. We order the catfish and shrimp combo and hot roast beef po boy w/ gravy fries. Everything tasted great and fresh seafood. very welcoming and fast service.

Thompson’s Kitchen has the best boiled shrimp I’ve ever eaten. The calamari is so tender that it almost melts in your mouth. Seafood is fresh from the boat. The owner is super friendly and goes above and beyond.

We ordered the seafood basket and it came without the oysters. The fries were cold and soggy and cooked in dirty oil. Fried chicken was dry. The salad was good but we got the wrong dressing. Service was very slow. Would not recommend.

This place is always packed, maybe because it’s the only place to eat in a 30 mile radius, and the new lpg plant has 5000 people constructing. Besides that, it is a quaint little place. I had the frog leggings. . They were little and only three(6legs) with fries. They have a gigantic burger I have yet to try.
