I loved the whole experience at Beal’s! They are really efficient with the ordering process, assigning tables, bussing tables, etc, and the staff appear to be enjoying their jobs which is cool to see. I had the garlic lovahs lobster roll and corn. Both were fantastic. We also had the buttermilk chicken sandwich which surprisingly well above average. I didn’t expect much for a chicken sandwich at a seafood spot but I was wrong! This was my favorite dining experience during my 3 days in the area.

I nearly ate myself into a coma here, not joking. Everything was excellent. We ordered a chicken sandwich, corn, fried lobster bites, fried shrimp, and the haddock sandwich (which was MASSIVE). You order your food at the front and then they bring it out to you. Everyone was polite and the atmosphere and views of the harbor are incredible. Highly recommend, must stop place!

Great ambiance – you order first, and then they bring you the food. All the employees are really friendly. We ordered two lobster dinners (the price was $19.99/lb and they were about 2 lbs each). The sides are extra. We also ordered a jumbo lobster roll and lobster tacos. Everything was great. Lobster was tender and fresh. Just a fun time. Not cheap, but you gotta do it every once in a while. Highly recommend.

From the moment we stepped foot into the establishment, the warm and inviting nature of the staff made us feel right at home. Our table, number 35, was a great choice, especially on a pleasant day. The tantalizing menu tempted us to order hamburgers, fried clams, and fried scallops, and we were not disappointed. Each dish was a delectable delight that satisfied our taste buds completely. The fried claims pictured were $38 so they’re not inexpensive but, unfortunately, good seafood is expensive everywhere. My rating is, “I will go back”

We were hungry after setting up our camp site and this restaurant was nearby, and let me tell you. This place was our favorite restaurant from out entire trip. It’s located right near the water so parking is limited when it’s busy. We almost turned around to find a different restaurant but thankfully we found a spot to park because this place is so worth it. We got the Lobster Rolls, Cornbread, and Cole Slaw and our table was near the dock and we got to eat while we watched the sun set. You get given a table after you order and the food gets brought out by their friendly staff. Definitely coming back!

Been coming to Beale’s for over 30 years now. They are always a must visit when we vacation in Bar Harbor annually. Each year we visit they seem to have made improvements in since way. We stopped in for lunch this past week and always it was delicious. My wife really doesn’t like seafood but they always have several great options available for her.

We love BEAL’S ! Have been coming to MDI for years and love the lobster and additional fish options. Great for big groups. Most of all ALL their fried fish baskets are gluten free and so are the fries!!!!! and they have many items that can be made gluten free as well!!! As someone unable to eat gluten this was a dream! Love love love!

If you want an authentic lobster roll experience take the trip to South Harbor. Absolutely delicious and in a beautiful setting! We also had the blackened fish sandwich which was also great.
