Came in for an early dinner at 4:30 on a Friday. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived but quickly got busier. Service was fairly prompt. Cocktail menu has some nice specials, the lavender fizz and raspberry gin and tonic were both hits. We also shared the fried cauliflower and asparagus which were crisp and delicious. For entrees we has the burger, the rock fish tacos and the cheesy grits and shrimp. All three were wonderful and would definitely be recommended. Service was a bit slow, but overall good. The major downside to the experience was the noise – between the high ceilings and the hard floor, the restaurant has a major echo and becomes extremely loud when full. We wrapped up our dinner quickly to get out of the noise. It was too loud for comfortable conversation. Food and drinks were good but I don’t think we’ll be back.

This was our first time here. We really enjoyed our visit. The staff checked on us throughout our time there. The atmosphere was very nice. It wasn’t too really loud or too bright or dark. They also have a couple of tvs up on the walls if you want to watch some sports. The food was delicious. I substituted sourdough bread on my cheeseburger, and it didn’t cost extra, awesome! My wife ordered the Turkey Club sandwich and said it was amazing! And the French fries were cooked just right. Grit 2C is somewhere I really recommend you try. We definitely will be going back.

We ate dinner here for our anniversary. It was our first time here and we were a bit surprised. We made reservations which was great because we got seated as soon as we walked in. The table was all set up and waiting for us. It was pretty busy so the noise level was a bit much. It wasn’t quite the intimate atmosphere we had envisioned. It was much more casual and industrial than we expected. Not a bad thing per se, just not what we expected having never been before. My husband ordered the ribeye and potato and I ordered the rockfish tacos. They both were very tasty. My husband felt like the plate needed a vegetable on the side to make it better but overall loved the meal. My tacos were delicious and I enjoyed the homemade seasoned tortilla chips too. The salsa that came with it was pretty pitiful. It was more like slightly seasoned tomato paste. Overall, we left pleased with our meal and would definitely come back again.

You cannot beat the quality of food or service here! My whole family loves this place. The bartenders are amazing at their cocktails and servers are always friendly and quick! You can even grab their food to go! Fantastic restaurant in the heart of Caldwell!

The food was amazing and so was the service. Can’t wait to move here to try all the things on the menu. If your ever in Caldwell Idaho make sure you stop in and give it a try. Just moved to Idaho and went back and had amazing food thank Shawna was amazing and the service was incredible, please help ask for Jordan. Thank you both for an amazing experience. My son had the Grit Dip, I had the Bacon Jam Grilled Cheese (w/ham) and we shared the Poutine. Omigosh! The flavors! I really enjoyed the bacon jam and caramelized onions on my grilled cheese. The Dip had Chipotle Bacon Au Jus that was to die for. Go. Eat. Be happy.

Good food…the crispy cauliflower and squash appetizer is a must (forgot to take a picture of that). The fish and chips I got could be improved. The service is great..our lady server was very pleasant. The place is fun but a bit loud for me. Will definitely come back and bring friends from 1A . Will there be a Grit1A?
