I love indian food. I eat it often…. aabha is by far the absolute BEST Indian food that I have ever eaten. I got spicy Tika Masada. Soooooo delicious . There is a really cool hookah lounge attached to restaurant as well. Very cool place. Highly recommend coming here. You won’t be disappointed.

Food was absolutely delicious!!! Portion sizes were a little disappointing for the prices. Flavors were perfection. They were super short staffed when we went so service was really bad but it’s understandable why.

We came here on a Saturday night and it was completely empty, which was a bit concerning at first but we decided to try it anyway and we are very glad we did. This place is a sleeper! The Lamb Vindaloo was better than any of the Indian food I’ve had in San Francisco. They made everything to order. The Tandoori Chicken was great with excellent flavor and the garlic naan had good texture. Not sure why this place doesn’t have more business but you should help change that. Come eat here. It’s legit! I’d add photos but we torn through everything before thinking about that part so enjoy this close up of the remaining Chicken (we planned to have leftovers).

100/10 stars. Superior Shirley temples. Yay for butter chicken and paneer Tika masala. Gluten informed and accommodating. Try the cheese naan. Wonderful service.

The Aabha restaurant at 220 Olivier in Old Monterey has excellent food. We were delighted with our tandoori chicken, lamb saag, naan, rice and samosas. While the waiter was friendly and correctly took and brought our order, we had to search him out. Our phone calls went unanswered and the website only showed the restaurant in a different town about 5 miles away. Hookahs and a full bar suggest that this might focus on an evening crowd. The chef is excellent and deserves a better opportunity to share his talents. I’d say the place shows promise but needs work.

The person who took our order was very patient. Really listened to our needs and served us exactly what we expected. The dal was good and their pindi chole was excellent. The veg biryani was just okay. Great location, bang in the centre of the town. We had a nice time here.

This place deserves WAY more business — it was maybe the best Indian food I’ve had in my life. The lamb vindaloo was incredibly complex and flavorful, with the perfect amount of spice. The chicken tandoori was perfectly charred on the edges and tender on the inside. I also appreciated the extra attention to detail that further elevated the dishes — the vindaloo came with sliced pieces of ginger and the tandoori came with sautéed, marinated onions that had a ton of flavor on their own.

Please do not go to the restaurant, we waited for 2 hours and the waitress told us that the chef messed up the order and just gave us dal . Just Dal? No roti and no rice? The management was tooooo bad! Eventually they started blamin each other.

The service was wonderful. My Husband and I ordered Tandoori Chicken, Malai Salmon and Biryani chicken and it was delicious. We had a great experience there. I totally recommend it if you are looking for a an Indian cuisine.

I will say the food was amazing. I had the Chicken Jalferazi and my wife had the Chicken Curry. For appetizers we had a thermos of black tea, trio na’an, and Delhi Samosa Chatpat. I love spicy food and as the server so graciously told me, there are three levels of heat; low, medium, and regret it tomorrow! I thought that was hilarious.
