Reached there at 9 30pm, and was told we don’t do dine in right now only take out,that was ok, the shawarma were good, but the lentil soup didn’t taste that good, the server was very friendly, the lights there are just too bright and need to be dimmed a bit.

Great Mediterranean restaurant in the area. Very clean n the staff is very attentive n pleasant with all customers. They take the time to walk you through each step in how to make a bowl, pita n other options. Food is fresh n tasty to the palate. The lentil soup is my favorite. I ordered a veggie bowl n I’m not vegetarian n I must say…Torshi had me a fresh vegetables on the grill with olive oil. I came back again n brought my family with me. They all enjoyed the food. I must say if you want Mediterranean food that is fresh n tasty…the real deal is Torshi!!

I’m a student at Rutgers in Newark, when when I tell you I always crave fresh clean food…. This is the place for it. The owner is super nice and helpful. He cares for his customers experience and needed. This place is super clean and FRESH. It so hard to find places that serve fresh food but this spot… IT WILL NEVER EVER DISAPPOINT.

The food is excellent. I had the salad bowl and doubled on the protein with kufta and lamb gyro meat. Both tasted great. Good variety of authentic sides and sauces. The eggplant (Musaka) and spicy Humus sides were legit. The photos of Alexandria, Egypt are always a plus!

Super friendly service and great food! Walked in for the first time and their employee explained the process and really put in the time and effort to walk us through their bowl selections. I got a Chicken Shawarma bowl, lentil soup, and baklava. I loovveddd the baklava too! They say it was imported from turkey and it tastes amazing! Will definitely be recommending it to friends and visiting again someday!

When in the Kearny area and looking for Mediterranean with tons of vegetarian options, I recommend you stop here. They have many ways to build your perfect meal. The staff is super welcoming and friendly. They have indoor and outdoor (views of the river) it was nice sitting watching the water. The food was great and they gave us healthy portions also. Will be going back again.
