Took my mom out to dinner here and we had a great time. Bright, clean decor. Very hospitable and fast service. And the food omg was so good. My mom had the pork vermicelli and I had the pho with steak and tripe (personal choice – if you’re new to pho, probably skip the tripe). For an appetizer we had the spring rolls. I’d come back just for the spring rolls and peanut sauce. I also had taro milk tea with mango jelly and it was very good.

Good food overall. Very very small Broken Rice portion for price. The photo taken has one bite of the rice taken out. Pho was good. Only 3 entrees on dinner menu. Prices seem high for portion sizes but standard for how Bozeman is now unfortunately. If i could give it a 3.5 I would.

Let me start by saying the food was good. I got a combination noodle bowl and the meats (beef, chicken, pork and shrimp) were delicious. The spring rolls were large and very good. The issue is-I ordered at 6:38pm and received my food at 7:32pm. Almost an hour for a take out order was a little ridiculous. I waited in the bar next door because the restaurant was way too hot. The young lady at the front was sweet. She kept saying the kitchen was backed up but there was only one take out ahead of me and 3 tables of 2 when I came in. I wouldn’t have been so upset if I have been told it would take an hour. But when I called, I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes.

Tried the vegetarian pho and lychee slush. Both were delicious! We were also able to share one order of pho when we asked for an extra bowl which was really nice because we both weren’t really hungry.

Been sitting at our booth for 41 minutes and finally got our appetizer, which was advertised as 4 spring rolls. It came out as 2 spring rolls cut in half. Seriously. And no sign of our entrees in sight. (*Added info – it wasn’t very busy in the restaurant, if every table had been filled it may have been a little easier to understand. What I did see was, order after order being taken to the front for delivery service. Which means the kitchen really needs to work on time management for their in-person guests and to-go orders. Multitasking is essential in keeping everyone happy. And when I got my vermicelli entree – the egg rolls were cold, the chicken was cold, I understand it’s a cold noodle dish, but the chicken was cooked in advance and just put on the dish. No flash griddle searing before adding to the bowl. And cold egg rolls, that means my food has been sitting for at least 10 minutes in the kitchen before being brought to the table. My hubs had pho, another dish that has many ready prepped items that are assembled in the bowl. The broth is in a large pot. The noodles are cooked. The meat is placed in the bowl with the scorching hot broth and noodles and a few herbs are tossed in. 45 minutes to have those 2 items brought to the table. Very disappointed in the whole meal. Guests should be alerted about the kitchen being overwhelmed at the start to give them the opportunity to choose to wait or patronize a different establishment. Had I known I was going to get hangry waiting for a simple meal, I would have decided to go across the hall to the other restaurant) I was so excited and hopeful when I heard a Vietnamese restaurant was coming to Bozeman. We waited a year for this?

Pho Saigon is the best Pho I have ever had. They make their broth with bones unlike other pho places that use a powder mix. All of the cuts of meat are cooked perfectly and the flavor is completely unique. If you have not been in yet, do yourself a favor and stop by for a one of a kind tasty treat.

I went out to Pho Sai Gon last night at 5:30. We had never been before, and were excited to try the food. We sat down at 6:00, and were immediately greeted with a waiter who gave all of us water. It took about thirty minutes before a waitress came to take our order, and when she did, she did not seem sure of what she was doing. When she came back a second time, she set dirty dishes on our table right next to my water after the dirty dishes were on the table next to us. We ordered appetizers and one entree to share between the four of us, and the couple who were seated approximately 15 minutes after us received their food before we did. We received our first appetizer nearly forty minutes after ordering, and when the waitress came back again, she apologized for the wait and explained that it was busy and the cooks were backed up. That would be completely understandable if the rest of the appetizers that came out were not severely burnt. I do NOT recommend coming to Pho Sai Gon for any authentic Vietnamese food. The pricing is too expensive ($10 for five burnt eggrolls) for what Pho Sai Gon offers. My three friends and I were extraordinarily excited to eat here, but left severely disappointed. I hope that our experience is a unique one, and not applicable to others.
