Overall good easygoing swanky bar. Went here for drinks the bartenders were all really nice and they gave us macaroons from the cafe next door even though they had to walk into the hotel portion to bring them to us. The Macaroons were so good . I didn’t try the food this time, but I would go back.

Came here on a Sunday for brunch with a group of 3. We were seated and ordered burgers and fries. After 45 minutes we were not served and our waiter did not give us any updates or try to help in any way. When we asked where the food was he said he would check in the kitchen, but instead he stood by the register on his phone. Awful service. The restaurant was nearly empty, with only a couple other small groups. No excuse for the slowness.

The overall status of this restaurant was pretty much just okay. The food was alright and good enough to fill up an empty stomach. The service wasn’t great. It toke a while to get our order taken and for our food to arrive. The burger, the fish tacos and grilled cheese were okay. But the avocado toast was just very bland.

Two friends and I wandered into The Chester after visiting the Edward Hopper exhibit at the Whitney Museum. We all ordered the Florentine Omelette, which was scrumptious as was the fresh green salad it came with. One member of our party thought the cappuccino was burnt, but the other two liked it. The waiter graciously brought a replacement cappuccino to our friend, who didn’t care for it. I don’t want to subtract a star for this given that two of us liked it and the waiter was so responsive.

Came here to have a drinks with some friends. Great location. Ordered a mimosa while others had a few more drinks. A little confused about seating as we asked for outdoor seating upon arrival but had to sit inside even though half the tables outside were empty. Everything was fine until I saw the bill… $21 for a mimosa? Ehhh, whatt?? Nice try, not going back

This place is a great bar and restaurant! The Chester has a great selection of cocktails and comfort food – definitely try the Queso with Chips and Spinach and Artichoke Dip! The Mac & Cheese is also great! Staff is super nice and service is fantastic! I wish I came here more often!

Beautiful place to get ignored and even better place to ensure everyone else is served right before you! If you want to leave with a bad taste in your mouth because of the bad service & frustrating bartenders that ignore you on purpose, this is the place to go to. Would highly recommend if you want to experience a bad time.
