I invited an international student friend to Variedades. The waitresses helped us pick some great items from the menu. My friend went with the delicious chicken burrito and I had an amazing bowl of beef soup with large chunks of carrots and yucca. The flavor was exquisite… (Not just because it was cold outside). We also got a scrumptious plate of sweet fried plantains. These we both enjoyed. The interior was clean and there was a fair amount of seating. We both left the restaurant looking forward to when we could try it again!

If you’ve never had Salvadorean food, you need to try the meat pupusas. Just do it! Good price and delicious.

Trash place. Please don’t go there. It’s a filthy place, rude service, and had to wait 30min for takeout. Then the lady that took my order was upset I didn’t call it in and proceeded to give food to 3 others that arrived before I did. No menus and expensive for mediocre food. Please save your money and find another small business that has honor in their services.

I do not recommend this place! My family and I went in on a Wednesday and the waitress had the nastiest attitude. When I asked for a menu the waitress told me to look up at the TV screens. Whenever my family asked for one of the dishes, she said they don’t have it even though it was on the TV screen. I guess they only serve pupusas and tacos. Specifically, tacos de carne asada. They close two hours earlier than what their sign says. The waitress just watched people try to come inside. Food was ok, nothing special, but I hope she didn’t spit in any of our food.

Walked in around 2:10 p.m., the waitress didn’t greet us, nor did she really say much except “what do you want?”. She was unhelpful and didn’t take one of our drink orders. We waiting for 30 minutes and our food hadn’t come out. Other customers came in and got their food almost immediately. Will not return here ever again.

Saw cook in the back drop a pupusa, pick it up, and put it back on the plate from which it fell. I proceeded to inform server of the fact and ignored me. I went ahead and informed the patrons served and advised them of the incident regarding the dropped pupusa he was about to eat. Patron thanked me for the information and walked out of the eatery. Owners are very unethical when it comes to providing the best and quality client service. Never again will I visit such filthy place.

Some of the best popusas I’ve had! They have a good menu with various Latin American dishes. They do have available takeout option, but call before 8 PM. The place is a little small for dine in and can become a little crowded at times, and the seating has seen better days, but it’s definitely worth it.
