This is a very nice Mexican place, they play real Mexican music on the stereo and the food is delicious. If you ask for spicy salsa, what they bring is very spicy and very good.

Update: We had dinner at Picantes again 2 years after our first time and it was even better. The food was excellent. I had enchiladas al pastor and it was really good. It’s not inexpensive but the food was high quality.

The restaurant is tucked away from the road a bit, but once we found it, it was great. The food was delicious and had a fair bit for the price. The staff were super friendly, and very apologetic about a tech issue that stopped them from splitting the bill, but it wasn’t a huge deal for our group. They even had live music that night, which we weren’t expecting, but the singer they had was great!

Cute place to come grab a quick bite and drink. The chicken tacos were a little dry, but still doable. The $5 margaritas (Weds only) were a nice surprise, although they were a bit on the weaker side. The waitress was very friendly and attentive enough. I wouldn’t be against going back, probably wouldn’t order the chicken again though. Also the salsa and chips they give you without asking aren’t free. It’s just an extra dollar but, asking first if guests want them would be nice. Overall definitely worth checking out, it’s got a nice atmosphere.

Great little hidden spot. Almost didn’t go because the gps want exact. I thought I was going up someone’s driveway. Food was great. Service was good, but it was pretty empty at the time we went. Definitely will go back next time I’m in the area.

The food here is excellent, along with the margaritas and negro beer. Staff is very knowledgeable and willing to describe anything you don’t know. One problem is that their menu is *only* scanned, so those without their smartphone or the technological know-how will be at a loss here. I thought that if my parents came here, they would be quite lost as to what to do.

So for starters, it was an 84 degree day. We had a reservation for a large party (9 people) that we made a week in advance. We were sat in the side of the restaurant that had no working A/C when there was a working unit on the other side of the building where others were sat. The waiter was kind enough to let us turn on the ceiling fan, that rained dust onto our table. Our party was so uncomfortable in the heat, it was difficult to enjoy the meal. Many of us commented about nearly passing out.
