We drive to Peoria every few months for my pet’s vet appointments and usually spend the day touring the area while we wait. Today I found this hidden gem after googling for places nearby the Peoria museum. So glad we stopped here. The menu is small, but probably because there’s a lot of care put into the dishes. Everything was PERFECT. We got the bbq chicken, yams, Mac n cheese, and greens. Everything was cooked to perfection with the chicken falling off the bone!! My mouth is watering just thinking about it! We will be back!

I over heard a conversation behind me at Walmart… And just for the record black businesses do not receive the correct or amount of attention it deserves. And most BLACK folks should know most meals soul food meals were started in the southern areas of the U.S.A. Pay attention to the soul of the food.
