This is the 3rd time that our 12 and 16 guy golf group has ate here on a Friday night and everything was great! Mixed food choices across the board and we were all satisfied. Servings are on the smaller side but I don’t need to be maxed out. We ate enough bread to feed a small town and everything was cooked properly. Despite the reviews that I have read here, we have always had a great experience!

We ate here with a parry of 8. While my prawns were the best I’d ever had, the risotto was the worst. Literally everyone at the table tasted it and said it was terrible, very bitter. My friends steak was literary blue inside and the duck size was a joke for the price. Disappointing for the price to say the least. If the risotto was edible, you’d have 5 star dish!

Food was terrible for the price. Salad was no better than a Wendy’s side salad. My husband’s ribeye looked and tasted microwaved. No grill marks, no char. My prawns were tasteless and rubbery, served over a “rissoto”, that I swear was Minute Rice. Don’t waste your money on this place.

Based on all the bad reviews and the local talk of Horizons being just so-so we put off going there for awhile then decided maybe they’ve improved, let’s go check it out. Ordered shrimp wantons for an appetizer, they were hot and full of flavor, very good! I ordered Chicken Madiera, my husband ordered a steak. Both were tender and juicy, but had absolutely no flavor. Even the garlic mashed potatoes didn’t have much flavor. A meal with those price tags should be amazing, and both ours were far from good. Won’t be going back. If you want a good meal, head to Hereford & Hops or Henry’s in Kingsford!!

We had such a great meal as a family there. The bread was delicious, the appetizers were amazing, and our steak, chicken, and kids meals were delicious. The best part was the accommodations for our children. The wait staff was very friendly and prompt throughout the whole meal. Highly recommend. A+

We got an ambiguous promo in the mail making it seem like we had a free $120 dinner. We were disappointed when we got there because the promo deal was a 3 item menu; halibut, Chicken, or roast beef. We were disappointed as this extremely limited menu seemed unappetizing but we figured it’s free so why not. We were shocked when the bill came and we owed $127 for a thin piece of halibut, a piece of roast beef, some deep fried pickles and cheesecake!!! We could have spent less and ordered things we actually enjoyed off the menu. This is clearly a deceptive strategy to over charge people for a cheap dinner and turn a profit. Disappointing to say the least. The table prior to us had the exact same misunderstanding and seemed just as upset. Down at the casino floor another couple told us they misunderstood and were disappointed as well.

The Horizons Steakhouse hosted a very nice night out for our party of six. The view is incredible and the atmosphere relaxing and romantic. We shared three delicious appetizers- the Smoked Salmon Bites, Crab Cakes and Shrimp Wonton Wraps- I would definitely order all three again! Also, the bread served before dinner was wonderful! Dinner was served and plated nicely. I ordered the Scallops with the Asparagus Risotto- it was AMAZING!! I am very particular about risotto, as I make it at home, and it is a process worth waiting for, and this was spot on with my home recipe. The scallops were cooked to perfection and literally melted in my mouth. Prices are high, but it is the entire experience you are paying for. The music set the scene and the staff was attentive- could have been a little warmer, inviting and more friendly, but, overall, a Strong 4 Star experience.

I took my mother for dinner at Horizon’s, it was the first time we had visited the restaurant. We arrived at 5PM, waited a very short time before being seated at a window table with a spectacular view of the golf course. We started with a Caesar salad, which was wonderful. Just the right size for the two of us to spilt. I ordered an 8oz filet, prepared medium, with garlic mashed potatoes and heirloom carrots. The steak was perfectly prepared. It was a beautiful cut, thick and meaty. The exterior was seared just how I like it with the center pink and juicy. I enjoyed every bite. My mom ordered the halibut, which was served on a bed of chopped veggies and pearl couscous with asparagus spears. The fish was delightful, but just slightly overcooked. The exterior was a lovely golden brown and the interior snow white. Just a wonderful meal all around. Our server was attentive and kind. Overall a great experience.

Ordered a ribeye. Was served a strip steak. Showed it to the server she said it’s a ribeye because that’s the only plate that was up there. I said it’s a strip and she said she’d take it back to the chef. She did and returned with it and said the chef said it’s a ribeye. I decided to not make any more fuss but 1 tasted it and it was a bad strip steak. I hate to send meat back. I don’t want to waste food when an animal gave its life to nourish me. But it wasn’t good. I told her it’s a strip, showed her a picture of a strip in the internet and told her to take it back so I can have a ribeye. A ribeye came.
