Two meat plate with creamed corn and green beans. The ribs and brisket were so tender with a smoky flavor that wasn’t overpowering. I need to go back for more of that sweet BBQ sauce. Owner is so friendly and the food was ready pretty quickly.

Stopped by today and tried the 4 meat plate with brisket, chicken, pork ribs, sausage and sides of potato salad and beans…a ton of food for only $15. Cash only accepted. The meat was smoked with hickory wood and covered in a sweet sauce. Very reminiscent of Kansas City style bbq versus traditional central Texas style. It was delicious, had just the right amount of smoke exposure, and was well packed with white bread and utensils. This hole in the wall was worth the stop and owner/pitmaster also had a variety of cold sodas and water available. My personal favorites were the chicken and sausage. I usually don’t like sweet sauce (or any sauce) on my bbq but the layer of sauce was light and it was a nice balance to the smokiness. Will be back!

My family and I are vacationing down here all the way from MN and stumbled upon this place for lunch. We were looking for true Texas BBQ, and this place did not disappoint! My Wife got the 2 meat special with two sides, and I ordered the 4 meat with two sides. All of this great food for under $40. The brisket melted in our mouth , and my ribs were literally falling off the bone. You can tell the owner loves what he does, and puts time and effort into what he makes and smokes. The overall experience was incredible! Highly recommend making the drive to the west side of San Antonio!
