The Pizza Place was recommended to us by a hospital worker. This place makes a great pizza. We ordered a thin crust pizza with sausage and mushrooms. The thin crust is the best. So much Italian sausage on it. I’ve never had lose sausage on a pizza. I’m so glad I did this time. So much sausage that it blanketed the pizza. This a great thing. I had sausage in every bite. It was awesome.

I am still in search of good pizza out here and this isn’t it. As others have said, the pizza is too dry. I wasn’t even sure if there was sauce, but then had one bite with some. As a result the pizza was bland. There was way too much cheese and the mushrooms didn’t taste freshly sliced (canned probably). The pizza was also pretty crispy (overdone?). Everyone raves about this place, but maybe they haven’t had actual wood fired pizza or NY pizza or been to Italy….or just had good pizza. I’m puzzled.

Rodger has the best Pizza I’ve had in 35 years. He created us at the door he led us into his restaurant he took a personal interest in what we wanted and he made us feel welcome and best yet wanted. I have to be honest that it was the best place I’ve been in the last 30 years. I really can’t say enough about good it was. Rodger cares about his guests and his employees and that special. Special beyond words. If you want an old school pizza pie give Rodgers Pizza Place a try. You will not be underwhelmed. Thank you Rodger for the commitment to excellence. It has not gone unnoticed.

Discussing ‘The Pizza Place’ with friends in the area, it had amazing recommendations putting every other pizza restaurant to shame. I love that it is locally owned and operated, I am a big supporter of that. However, I was disappointed by the pizza, which was held at a very high standard, it was fairly dry and lacked a lot of flavor which is not typical of pizza, generally speaking. The staff was very nice and polite and I genuinely enjoyed all my interactions with all the employees. The restaurant is cute and adds a sense of history to the restaurant. I’m definitely going to come back again, just of the fact that I have never heard a bad word about it, so maybe it was an off night. If it wasn’t for the reputation I wouldn’t be giving it a second chance. Current rating: C-. Will update review!

Wildly confused by the reviews. Are they a scam? Lol.. I mean that’s the worst pizza I’ve ever had a restaurant. It was awful. We were driving through and this place had the best reviews. If true, this town needs a real wood fired pizza joint. We have one, so my expectations for a 4.8 pizza place were evidently way too high. Salad dressing takes 3 minutes to make so I didn’t expect mediocre Ken’s dressing but that’s what you get. The turkey bacon sub was by far the best thing we ordered. It was pretty tasty. But to sum it it up the kids and adults thought it was so bad that we didn’t even take the leftover pizza. Bleh.

We came in for the 1st time last night. Fantastic food and service. The toppings were excellent. I recommend the hamburger. It definitely did not have a fast food chain taste. Please give this place a try. Friendly staff recommended their creamy Italian dressing for dipping. It was amazing. Thanks guys.

Excellent, a place that gives pizza topping overload, totally delicious! Crispy crust, crispy enough to hold up 2″ thick worth of delicious toppings. They even had a special so we got a free small cheese along with purchase of XL pizza for our daughter. No question we will be back

We ate here today. Not really impressed with it at all. The food was okay. My biggest concern was them not wearing hair & beard nets on them. That should be wore on them all times. I don’t understamd how they got 4 stars when they don’t wear hair neats. I really hope they don’t get hair in peoples food. But, in all a medium pizza and 5 cheesy bread sticks feed two of us.

I use to love coming here years ago. I came in today for lunch with my mom raving about how good this place was. Then we get there and staff is not friendly and none of them wore gloves when handling food and making pizzas! That’s unsanitary!

Great old fashioned pizza and friendly staff. I love that this place has stayed the same through the years. I used to come here as a kid after sports events and with friends over 15+ years ago. Now I bring my son to enjoy the same great pizza they’ve always provided to Weatherford Texas. I know I’ll always be able to come back here and bring back some great memories! Try them out! My favorites are cheesy breadsticks and the classic pepperoni pizza with jalapeños on half of it
