The taste of the food is phenomenal, one of the best authentic Korean restaurant I’ve ever been. The service is just OK. She seems not so friendly, not smile and talk much, but quick and get our orders right. Price is high just like all other Korean restaurant so that’s epected and acceptable. Overall, I would always come back for the food, and highly recommended for trying it out.

I was craving for grilled mackerel. Sorabol was a good place to order it. The scallion pancake was good too. My friend said Bibimpap was underwhelming which precluded me from giving 5 stars. The place also needs updating – it would help. They still have a Christmas wreath … in July! Maybe that’s what it was for!??? Carpeting is outdated, tourist brochures are displayed…There were benches to the side but the backs were purportedly artistically angled, they seem broken! Service was good. Love it that they give you the little side dishes. Wish they had the been sprouts or potatoes.

We have been eating here for about 10 years and has never let us down. The owners are wonderful the food is delicious. Your meal is prepared fresh when ordered no reheating. We refuse to eat anywhere else because we are always disappointed because this bar is set so high.

This is my first time in this Korean restaurant. It did not have the same vibe as a lot of other Korean establishments. Here, I almost feel like I am eating over at Grandma’s house having a home cooked meal. The food here is not about esthetics, but it captures you in the mouth at first bite. I will surely visit again!

Service was great and fast. For just one lady serving everyone in the restaurant I think it was very speedy. Kimbap was delicious. My husband’s bulgogi was tender, flavorful and not overly salty. My kimchi jigae was pretty good but a little too salty for me. Would definitely come back to try other dishes when we are in the area again.

Now a days it is very rare to find food excellence in the Hampton roads area. I must say the service and food was absolutely amazing! Sorabol out did themselves! Will definitely be returning.

I visited when it was super busy. It was a full house and there was only one waitress, so it did take a long time to be seated and then get drinks and food. I don’t blame them for this though, and there’s only so much such a small staff could do. That being said, the food was delicious. The prices for food usually range between 10 and 15 dollars, so a little on the pricey side, but typical for Korean restaurants in the area. I certainly thought the price was worth it though, and will consider coming back again another time!
