We decided to try this place because we had never been there before. We found the the restaurant to be very clean, well organized, and well stocked. The staff was super friendly and the menu is very extensive and diverse. The restaurant is small but seating did not appear to be a problem and parking is on the street but did not appear to be metered. The service was exceptionally prompt and the food was delicious.

Very small plates. Not sure what the meat actually is in tacos or “beef” enchiladas and tacos. Very disappointed in the food all the way around. It used to be so much better! The frozen mango margaritas are fantastic. Very nice people. Family run restaurant.

This place is SO good. Very authentic Mexican food. The salsa is incredible, they’ll bring extra if you ask, and the dishes are well priced. It seems to be a family owned business.

They make this amazing dessert. Its like cheesecake filling wrapped in a tortilla shell and then they deep fry it & top it with some vanilla ice cream (or strawberry) & then some chocolate syrup & I think a little cinnamon with a cherry on top it was soooo good. Totally recommend.

The food is reasonably priced, and delicious. The service was friendly and fast. They took the time to explain what things were and offer suggestions toy my kids about what they might enjoy trying. Our entrées were each under $15.

Given the abundance of positive reviews, I was surprised that our meal was sub par. We ordered takeout and had a difficult time figuring out which food belonged to which person, as nothing was labeled. When we did figure out out, we discovered that 2 things were missing. My wife’s combo meal (mushroom quesadilla and Mexican salad) was missing the salad and the quesadilla was made with a six inch tortilla, so she had to scavenge from others for enough food. The meals themselves tasted alright and the horchata was fantastic. They were also very friendly at pickup. Maybe this place is great for dine-in, but there were issues with takeout.

Grandma’s is the best Mexican/hispanic food we have found in New York! Moving here from Texas was a huge food shock for us and we tried every place around town looking for good Mexican food and finally found it! After going to Grandmas we’ll never go anywhere else. Everything is made fresh and to order, the Salsa is good and the service is great! Do yourself a favor and order a tamale even if you get something else as your meal- they are SO GOOD. Can’t say enough good things about this place or the owner- he is always there, happy and hard working!

Perfect timing, they just opened for the day.. very freindly service, the owner/ cook came out to the table to make sure everything was ok.. The food was on point, very authentic. The prices where very reasonable. Place was in order and felt very clean.. I would definitely go back.
