First and last time eating at this establishment. Went to pick up 2 orders only had one small container of salsa for me and my co worker. Requested an additional small container and she told me it was an additional almost 2 dollars . She told me to give back the white sauce and she would give me another salsa o by the way was in my car !! So she would take back the white sauce from my car and give it to another customer .O and forgot when I entered the establishment to pay she didn’t have any change so I gave her the extra 80 cents for nothing and she could not give me a small cup of salsa !! Are times that hard for your restaurant I have never seen anything like this!!! And the food wasn’t even that good!! If u want GREAT MEXICAN FOOD AND DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT HOW MUCH SAUCE YOU CAN GET, GO TO EL RODEO ON VIRGINIA BEACH BLVD, NORFOLK VA..THEY Will NOT DISAPPOINT!!!

Nice warm cute setting for a relaxing dining experience. Staffs are attentive and smiling – that’s good vibes for a meal. Chimmichanga and quessadilla are very yummy. Again, they are so good that I chowed down before taking photos. Taco chips and the white sauce are superb too, so addictive that we had asked for second helping!

The food and service are good but unfortunately they charge you an 18% percent gratuity for 1 or more persons without prior notice. Not only do they not tell you but it’s not on the menu. The manager needs to rectify this because it took away from us giving a better rating.

My husband had the fajitas which were good, I got the flautas which we’re alright. I’m kind of disappointed that all of these “Mexican” restaurants tortillas aren’t handmade they’re those store bought ones with the rubber texture . Customer service was great and super friendly. Bathrooms were cleaned which is always a plus.

Had I known that it would take over 30 min. to get my food, along with tiny portions, very expensive and mediocre taste, I’ve would’ve driven little further and ordered at El Azteca or Chipotle, where you get much more food, better tasting, lower prices and much shorter wait time. When we placed the order, we were told the food would be ready in 10-15 min. We only ordered 3 dishes and the bill was over $50! I’ll never order at La Herradura anymore. Lesson learned.

Food was good but waiter ruined the experience. He had no suggestions other than the most expensive items on the menu, and couldn’t explain what items on the menu consisted of or how big they were. Then when my colleague was done he came over and immediately asked if it was 1 check. It didnt matter I was barely half way through my meal still eating. He dropped the check off, it was signed, and he picked it up, all before I even finished my meal. Food was tasty but the portions seemed small and my enchilada looked like a deflated balloon animal.
