A late Saturday afternoon outing with my family at Platea and it was a fantastic experience. Warm classy atmosphere, great service and delicious food with a Peruvian flavor. Our server, Adan, elevated the experience with his professionalism, his knowledge and his great recommendations. The Sommelier was knowledgeable and a true professional. The hostess was welcoming and attentive. And the food was delicious and well prepared. Everybody had a different choice and we were all impressed with the quality and tastiness. My medium rare tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection and I enjoyed every ounce. Very happy with the experience and we all had a great time.

Came for the Miami Spice menu for a birthday dinner and was not disappointed. Every plate served was beautifully presented and boasted exotic unique flavors. Our server, Rodrigo, was very knowledgeable of the menu and was extremely attentive and kind. I would 100% recommend coming for a family dinner or even a date night.

Great dining experience! Service was very good. Food was delicious, great portions. Wine selection is high end; you can also bring your own bottle— there is a corkage fee. We had ceviche and tostones for appetizers— both amazing. Lomo saltado was very good. They bring out a torch to sear the butter on the steak— very cool. Corn was spectacular! Dessert was a cheesecake, amazing, will order again. Happy that a place like this opened up in the neighborhood, much needed.

I really wanted to like this place, it has potential if they can cook your steak correctly the first time around. This is my second visit here: first time i came on a date, they cooked our steaks wrong but we switched to avoid waiting longer (even though i prefer the porterhouse over filet mignon) second time, was today for Mother’s Day with a large party and messed up 2 steak orders. By the time they brought out my food, I couldn’t even eat with my family and had to box it up (they even ran out of bags. Wth?) for the price point, HORRIBLE horrible service, i came to eat with my family not bring it when everyone else is done and take it to go. Waiter was nice but a manager didn’t even come out to apologize or try to make the situation better. Very nice ambiance tho. Take a chance if you want to, but i won’t again.

We gave this restaurant a second try with the Miami spice menu. The service is perfect! However, to me the food is overpriced. I didn’t like the ribeye with the sauce and it was undercooked. The tostón with meat was cold and the meat was tough. The appetizers were ok, but nothing too special.

07/23/23 UPDATE- After a little over a year from my last visit I finally re-visited Platea and it was as dream! Eduardo, our server, was super welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Food was delightful, ordered the baked oysters (AMAZING), bread and butter, ghost fries, prime tomahawk, and “the garden” cheesecake dessert. All the dishes were incredibly tasty and great size. Platea is always a great time, can’t wait to visit again (this time I won’t be waiting a year!)

This place was recommended by a family member and we wanted to try something new. The atmosphere is amazing, the lighting was very romantic, they have a great wine selection with someone that specializes in wine that can answer any question, the service is excellent and they have a great presentation of their meals and it’s all a show with smoke and fire. Santiago was our server and we loved him! He was so genuine, kind, funny and most importantly very honest. The food was great and very flavorful but to be honest, it was pretty pricey. Would recommend for sure.

Brought my girlfriend here. We eat at many places. Platea was recommended by my very good “foodie” friend. Everything was perfect. I could sell a pitch here, but would rather say this…… go or miss out. Great experience, food, and service. Santiago was my server. He was as good a server as anyone would hope for. Couldn’t find one thing to complain about if I was looking for one. We will be back.
