The Palace of Indian was excellent. It is also BYOB. While it looked like takeout is popular here, the dine in experience was great. Service was fast and friendly. Water glasses were constantly refilled. The food was really good quality and nice portion sizes.

This place is a gem….. It’s set in a beautiful neighborhood with an amazing view of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree ( if you sit by the window). The service is top notch and the food is something too be desired. Everything is made to order and all ingredients are very fresh from the proteins to the veggies right down to the very sauces that are made. We left happy, full, and amazed at how we were treated and how beautiful the restaurant was. We’ve found our new go to place for Indian food. I highly recommend this place if your looking for great service, amazing food, and beautiful ambiance. You will not be disappointed

Stopped in for lunch yesterday. Started with the mango lassi & lemonade – delicious! My partner and I shared chicken pakora which came as a generous amount and we both enjoyed. We shared the lamb korma & chicken tikka masala. All the dishes tasted FRESH. Definitely satisfied my Indian food craving. Service was fast & friendly. They also have a cool muraled back patio as well. Definitely stop in and check it out!

Great food. Bread was amazing. My only complaint was that everyone had their dish at wrong “hot” level. Example I ordered my child’s food mild and everyone else wanted spicy. My daughters was really really spicy and everyone else’s wasn’t. Besides that it was really good.

We just finished dinner here and it was excellent! The naan was so fluffy- the best I’ve ever had. Lamb Korma- yum!! The staff was very kind- we were a larger party asking for a lot of things and they happily accommodated. This restaurant has seen a few different iterations in the past few years; here’s hoping Palace of Indian stays!

My son recently moved to Philadelphia. When I come to visit from New Jersey he likes to try different restaurants. We basically park the car on Passyunk and just start walking. We passed a few restaurants, then we came upon “The Palace of Indian Cuisine” it was totally empty inside. Initially we wondered if we should even go in. (it was the lunch time) We decided to give it a try anyway, and it was such a delight, so happy we did! We had vegetable Samosa, lamb naan, chicken, vindaloo, and chicken Makhni (butter chicken). The food was amazing, the waitress provided great customer service, explaining everything we had questions about. We should’ve taken pictures to show the food, as it was awesome! We will definitely be visiting this restaurant again.

This place has excellent food. Their service is horrendous, we ordered 4 items from the menu that well surpassed their dining minimum(14.99 per person) and they still commented on us not ordering enough.. we spent about $40 subtotal and it was just 2 of us eating. Then, they kept trying to remove our plates full of food from the table while we were still eating them. When we asked for to-go containers they brought us 2 when we had 4 different foods to pack. We asked for another container and they said no initially. Then we looked complexed and they rolled their eyes and brought us another to-go container. felt incredibly unwelcome right from the start. wont be coming back, theres plenty of phenomenal indian restaurants in the city.

Went for restaurant week and our meal was phenomenal. I’m totally obsessed with the garlic and cheese naan and spicy hot butter chicken. Service was great and atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We will be back!

This place was SO GOOD! Me and my S/O are on a tight budget and compared to everything else on Passyunk, this place is really affordable. Food was so delicious and our waiter was super attentive and kind. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place deserves one!
