So glad Takohachi opened in this area. They have their other location in Arlington and a sister restaurant Satsuma in Bethesda, MD. Food quality is the same as the other locations. Cuts are average and buttery fresh. Definitely recommend the salmon belly, yellow tail belly, uni, smoke salmon, scallop, crawfish salad, and tobiko. All nigiri are $1. I dined here on a busy Saturday and we waited less than 10 minutes between out orders. This is a smaller location so large parties may find it difficult to find seating. Parking is very easy to find as they have a wide open lot. Highly recommend Takohachi if you want some quality sushi at an affordable price.

Great value for your money! I went here recently after discovering that this sushi spot offers $1 nigiris, all day! And I can say, I enjoyed the food and selections they had to offer.

$1 nigiris! Pretty good for price, will stop by again. It was pretty busy during dinner time, had to wait a bit for order to come out as well. Seem to be low staff but understandable! The white tuna and salmon was super good!!

Saw the grand opening sign! They had wide variety of menu from sushi sashimi to bento and ramen. They have $1 nigiri special. I ordered spinach (which to me was too gingery). Had eel bowl, age dashi tofu and himachi jaw. All were delicious

When this place sold sushi at $1/piece, I rated it 5/5 for its quality/price ratio. I understand the inflationary pressure we are all going through and thus the decision to increase the price. But at $1.5/piece, twelve pieces of sushi now translate into $20+. And at $20+, I am able to find much better sushi in Fairfax/Vienna. Thus, unfortunately I have to revise my rating down from 5 to 3.

Had a nice dinner and ended up getting a number of small plates. I highly recommend the seared tuna and salmon they were delicious. Also got the pickled cucumbers, tempura and a sushi spread. Good food and decent prices.

I’m a foodie, but honestly Takohachi is my favorite sushi restaurant! It’s super affordable and delicious at the same time! So addicting tbh! You get what you pay for, so if you’re bougie, don’t be coming here I would stick with the nigri!

I had nigiri sushi for lunch to go, I’m very satisfied. They were cheap yet quality was better than expected. Of course sushi is not the quality you get from high end sushi restaurants but compare to what you pay they are fantastic. Get salmon and hamachi bellies for best bang for the buck. Highly recommend it if you are into nigiri sushi and on budget.

We loved it! For the price, can’t beat it. The lady that served us was so friendly. Love the LoFi music in the background. (Reminded me of PewDiePie’s vlog videos in Japan bros.) The $1.50 nirigi pieces is an awesome value. Many options for curry and soups. My chirashi was great. The ginger was super fresh too, spicy almost! The I gotta mention the Miso soup!! It was honestly some of the best I’ve had. So aromatic and flavourful. Even my 5 year old wanted to finish the whole bowl.
