Something old something new. Formally knows as Brick Oven for years. The his was a local go to breakfast spot and popular with the in season tourists. After over a year waiting for the reopening under new ownership it did not disappoint. Brick, from the old name and Grills is not a form of cooking, but a nod to the family that now owns it. For the local community this name has given much to the town of Ashaway. The Grills are the brick and mortar of this town. It have been restored and refurbished like a fine antique. Comfort and clean is the feeling you get when you walk in the door. The kitchen takes such pride in taking days to make the perfect farm to table fire house sausage from local farms. The hash takes days to make and is homemade delicious. The chicken and waffles with a spin on it adding sausage gravy. The fruit that is a delicious garnish, is aged to tender perfection before carefully carved for each serving. Sold home fries! And the coffee is unmistakably local Dave’s coffee. Full bar with dinner offered few night a week. Stop by for breakfast and enjoy the friendly feel for locals and out of towners.

Farm to table, great food. New interior from the old place, nice, clean, comfortable. Went just as they opened on a Sunday. Excellent service. We had 5 people in our group and everyone loved the food – farmer’s omelet, homemade corned beef hash, eggs and homemade sausage, and so on. My bacon pecan waffles were absolutely delicious. We’ve been waiting to get another place to eat in our little village and this one certainly held up to our expectations.

Comfort food in a friendly atmosphere! Came for breakfast on a Friday morning with my mom and two of her friends. Good coffee, great service, and a generous breakfast. Enjoyed the avocado toast with scrambled eggs and everyone else cleaned their plates, including the cute fruit serving. While this location has hosted several different restaurants, the latest is better than others. They are also open for Dinner, 4-9pm, on Friday and Saturday.

What a great experience! The food was excellent. The house made corned beef hash delicious. Eggs done perfectly, and the coffee was hot and delicious. The people are friendly, service is great. If you are looking for a place where you can feel good about what you eat, this is it. Ethically raised meat, locally sourced produce.

Went for dinner last night 5/13, food was excellent and don’t skip the bread pudding for dessert! Our bartender was awesome and made our experience even more enjoyable and the chef came out a few times to check on service and quality (she was also great). Lovely experience overall, glad to have it here.

My Mom’s EGGS weren’t quite done on the over medium. Waitress said we can take care of it next time. No problem.

1st time there, the service was great. My wife and daughter both got French toast, which was very delicious. I got the biscuits and gravy, which I hate to say was not very good. The gravy was watery with no flavor. But the eggs were cooked perfectly, and I enjoyed the fresh fruit served with it. We will be back again

Been waiting for the place to open for weeks. Very cozy inside. Breakfast was fantastic. The staff was pleasant and Pete, the owner, came over with a warm introduction. So nice to have a bar in central Ashaway!! Looking forward to cocktail hour.

The quality of the food, service, and ambience cannot be matched at any breakfast restaurant in Washington County, RI. Well, maybe Ocean House comes close, but breakfast at The Brick & Grills isn’t $55. It’s not even $20. My massive breakfast was $15, with enough left over for lunch! Bravo to Pam, the new owner, and Judy, the chef. We will be back again, and again, and again, and …

I really want to like this place, but both times we’ve been here for breakfast have been disappointing. Both times it’s just been myself and my husband and we ordered off the menu, no changes to what we ordered. Both times it took over 30 minutes to get our food. Both times multiple tables that had ordered after us received their food long before us.
