The owners of this restaurant do not understand what it means to advertise your restaurant as halal. Halal is not just offering meat that has halal certification. It means ensuring that the entire offering of food complies with halal standards, which is why real halal restaurants display the certification. The owner of this restaurant admits that they serve haram alongside halal, and there is simply no way that the food here is halal.

As others have found, this “halal” restaurant is HINO (Halal in Name Only). They prepare pork in the same kitchen that they prepare the allegedly halal food and it’s common to get small bits of meat that appear to be pork in your halal order.

Absolutely wonderful place! I was in the area making my deliveries and thought I’d try ’em out. Very glad I did! I grabbed the orange chicken/ chow mein lunch special, and it sure did deliver exactly what I was looking for. Perfectly fried chicken breast covered in an excellent sauce that wasn’t too sweet, nor too bland. Just perfect! The chow mein was also amazing, it even had big, long strips of cabbage that made the dish even more complete. Thanks Ken and family, I’ll be back next time I’m in the area!

Had an awesome takeout experience today. Lemon chicken was perfectly fried, sauce on the side was delicious and nice and hot. My picky 2 year old looved it so that tells you something. Seafood noodle soup was also delicious, makes us excited to try the jampong version. Lots of veggies, perfectly done just how we like it. On the slightly bland side which is just perfect.

It’s probably not too wise to title your business “Amazing” when it’s not… Maybe it’s the American expectation for Chinese food to be so bland, but this place was more like ordering Chinese food in Kenya. Not only were the dishes lacking spice and flavor, but you could count the number of meat pieces in each dish (5-6 beef strips to 25-30 pieces of broccoli in the beef and broccoli). Plus, they were under staffed and therefore missed special instructions we requested with our meal. Two stars are for the fact we didn’t get sick… $85 for 4-5 tiny dishes is crazy.
