Since they have opened we have been going to Sam’s. The food is always hot and tasty. You won’t leave the restaurant hungry. Great prices for large shrimp, fish oysters and other seafood items. Great sides too.

We loved the food except for the grilled fish my husband got. He didn’t like the lemon pepper seasoning. They do need a better ventilation system for the frying of the food. It was pretty smokey.

We have been eating at different Sam’s restaurants for several years and unfortunately they keep going out of business due to bad management/ownership and the last time we were at this location in January I was afraid that was going to happen again. Yesterday we gave them a large “To Go” order and the ladies on the phone were so very sweet and helpful and it was a pleasure to talk to them when we picked up our order. Such a huge improvement over the employees that were there the last few times we ate in the restaurant. Food was great, we drive over an hour to eat there and we will be back!

Update…..new manager is awesome ..so friendly and the place is so much better…cleaner and service is better …I couldn’t be happier and went two days this week!! I have always loved Sam’s so I was very sad that the service had went so far downhill…but yay new manager has really helped this business…thanks ..,………………..,………………………….

Every other time I have been here I would give it 5 stars, but tonight’s food does not meet that standard. I have been ranting and raving about how good the food is, so I decided to finally take my wife here, and I am regretting it. The fried fish, shrimp and chicken breading was soggy, they were out of hush puppies, so for a substitute we got a greasy deep fried dinner roll. It was a big disappointment. My wife is 9 months pregnant and was craving some good fried chicken, and I feel like I wasted money on a meal that wasn’t all that great. I hope this was just a fluke and they were having an off night.

The food has been great every time we’ve been here. Anybody who has left a bad review doesn’t know good food. The only thing I can say is it would be a lot more inviting if they’d put up some decorations inside that go along with a southern style seafood restaurant. Great food though!

Minus 2 things, 1 my fried mushrooms were replaced with cold cheese sticks, and 2 the grilled fish was not to my liking but I tried it… this place over all is good eats!! Plus the tartar sauce is amazing!

Had The 3 pcs fish, shrimp, and crab cakes, appetizer of fried okra, kids chicken and it was all very good, had couple nice thick fillets of fish, the shrimp were large, kids chicken was tasty, had extra piece of fish and shrimp, only complaint was okra little to done, but my daughter liked it that way. Very very good and huge portions. I ordered the 3 piece fish, 3 piece shrimp and 3 piece oyster and got at least 5 pieces of each. All of the food had great flavor. I will be going back.
