Often times ordering Chinese is disappointing when looking for a new go to restaurant. We tried staying local, but finally went a little farther out. We were met with greatness. The hot and sour soup is a roll of the dice with many restaurants. Most places serve poor or low quality tasting soup. This places soup was amazing. The spring rolls and egg rolls fried crispy to perfection. The wontons and rangoons also amazing flavor and textures. The main dishes we ordered were chicken with spicy garlic sauce, Mongolian beef, and combination lo mein, were all outstanding. Portion sizes were great with the largest definitely being able to serve as 2 meals for those with appetizers or smaller appetites. Will be a bit for the 2nd test, and we will post again when we order, to see how consistent they are. Because consistency is key.

Quality of food and taste are gone. I ordered combo fried rice no onions. I got white rice hardly any meat LOADED with onions. I couldn’t control the gag reflex. I ordered combo Chow mein. There was NO meat and no flavor. I used to love this place. This is the third time in a row I was disappointed and this time was the worst. Three strikes I’m done.

This place used to be pretty good. We periodically got food here for about 4 years. At some point at the end of 2022, they must have changed ownership. We got a meal so terrible that we stayed away for 6 months or so. My wife went out of town today so I figured I should give it a try again. Maybe I could report that the terrible experience was an isolated incidence. Nope. The food is abysmal. The egg rolls are literally grease bombs. It soaks into a paper plate within 10 seconds (no exaggeration). The house lo mein, ordered extra spicy mind you, was so bland… you know, insipid gives it too much credit. I will return to this post once I find a better adjective, but I will never return there.

Honestly, this was the worst of all the Chinese food places I’ve had in Maryland – I’ve tried all the ones in the Odenton area. The bread on the chicken was soggy, because the “sauce” was basically flavored water. The egg roll was mediocre and greasy. The spring roll wasn’t good and also soggy. The rice was cooked well.

Every few years I try this place, hoping the food will be better. And it isn’t. The food was so bland this time I actually threw out almost all of my Hong Kong wonton soup (the noodles were also super soggy). The crab rangoon had almost no filling and certainly didn’t taste like there was any crab/fake crab in it. The egg roll was okay, but also pretty bland. Every other Chinese restaurant in Odenton is heads and shoulders better.

Every time I order from this restaurant the food is phenomenal, service is awesome, staff is pleasant and professional and the restaurant is clean. Anytime my sister and mom comes to visit, ordering from this restaurant is a must. Some of our favorites are the Shrimp, broccoli and garlic sauce, spare ribs, and General Tso chicken. So happy I found this restaurant when I moved here roughly 6 months ago.
