Nice spot with authentic Jamaican food and an upbeat island vibe. I got the jerk salmon with plantains and cabbage. Food was delicious, although, temp was a little cool/lukewarm for the cabbage. Overall, the taste of everything was amazing. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

The food was delicious! I got the curry goat, as well as the wing appetizer. I was a bit frustrated because we tried to order a few things that were out of stock and had to result to second and third choice, but it was delicious anyways!

Didn’t know that this place specializes in Jamaican cuisine. Anyway we had a jerk shrimp appetizer followed by jerk pulled chicken sandwiches with seasoned fries. The sauce used for the jerk shrimp and chicken is excellent and I highly recommend and dish that it’s used in as an ingredient. Anyway they have a large menu plenty of items other than Jamaican if you don’t like that style. The service was excellent and they also have a happy hour with $4.00 beer from 3-7 M-F. Overall very good and I highly recommend going.

I’d been wanting to try this Jamaican restaurant in downtown Fredericksburg for awhile and so glad I got around to it. I loved the atmosphere. I love reggae music too so that just enhanced the vibe. I tried ox tail for the first time and liked it. The jasmine rice and fried plantains were also good. I also tried a pineapple soda. And I wasn’t planning on drinking but my friend and the bartender talked me into it. The bartender said she just made up a “grinch” drink and it was very festive looking and tasty. My friend got the chicken curry and we also had the Kingston egg rolls for an appetizer. Those were yummy too. The staff were very outgoing and pleasant. I recommend this for a different taste in the Burg! Also the island atmosphere was very warming during this cold weather for someone who doesn’t like winter haha.

When my mother, born in Guyana and raised in the Bronx, says that this food rivals that of White Plains Road, AND the chef is from Brooklyn…that’s how you know that this food is LEGIT. The portion sizes are a bit small, but the taste and presentation more than make up for it. It’s also pretty sweet that you can get a view of the kitchen depending on where you sit.

The food and customer service at Pimenta was exceptional. From being greeted when we entered to helping take our photos and chat with us, the atmosphere was welcoming and we had an amazing time. The two young ladies and the gentleman that provided service to our table made this an even more enjoyable experience.
