The place wasn’t much to look at, but the gentleman who waited on us, who I think was the owner, was super nice. The taco salad was great. Love when it’s in an actual tortilla shell bowl! My husband had the ribs and said they were good as well.

My family and I went last weekend. friday before easter while we were staying at Simon B Elliott. We went here to get dinner and the burger was really good. I got the marty junior burger(1pic) with the sauce on the side and it was really good especially with the fries. my little brother got the marty one(2 pic)

Enjoyed lunch and dinner here on a road trip. Drinks were very affordable and service was good. Forgot to take a photo of dinner, I was so hungry I devoured it. This was the mushroom-brie soup. Very good.

Nice menu variety – have had quite a few different things, all of which were pretty good, though I have some favorites! The taco salad is awesome, especially the bowl it comes in that they make, though the last time I got it it tasted too much like fish that it wasn’t nearly as enjoyable ( I assume they fried it in the same oil as their fish fries and it was older oil?) – also love the steak salad & fish fry! Their coleslaw is one of the best I’ve had, especially in this area. Ok….the ribs? TO DIE FOR! They are by far the best I’ve ever had at any restaurant/bar – they are so tender the bones fall right off (there was one time I think maybe they were cooked a bit too much simply because the bones were so tender that they splintered into tiny pieces and it was a chore separating the bones from the meat to not eat any of the splinters – but the texture and flavor of the meat itself wasn’t negatively impacted). FYI – the ribs are ONLY sold on SATURDAYS, NOT SUNDAYS like they used to as it still shows on the online menus. Definitely recommend their food!

My wife and I ate here on 10-26-17 and were very pleased. The owners Marty and Therese truly do “care about what you eat”. These folks have only the freshest vegetables and finest meats. From what I can tell, it is a family ran business and they truly care about their customers. I would highly recommend this place to anyone if you are looking for a good place to eat.

We stop at the big trout quite frequently on our way to Bernadette. I’ve never had bad service or food. Try the big trout burger if it is still on the menu. A good place for food and drink. They do have a separate small side bar with tables so still OK for families. They also have an outside deck when the weather is nice.

Very good choices on the dinner buffet. Warm not hot, only issue. The soup was wonderful and the salads were large with lots of items. They made me a fresh baked potato to be included in my dinner buffet. The Big Trout serves a dinner buffet to accommodate large volumes of people in a short time, being located close to the Elk viewing area of Benzadet, PA.
