Apparently is up for sale and that atmosphere seems to be taking over a bit. Was always a great pizza place. Hopefully new owner ramps it back up. That said, still a solid pizza place. The family specials are great if multiple people in your group.

Gotta share the love for this place. I’m in Georgia and I visit my family in Salem as often as I can. While I’m there I go to Pizza Man literally every day for their salad (specifically their French dressing). The pizza’s good too, but I need that salad to live!

Well it was sad to see my local Pizza Man of Mt. Vernon close but it also required us to commute to Salem,Illinois whenever the opportunity arises and be able to say the trip itself was worth it would be an understatement!

2021: Although I was disappointed that the buffet wasn’t back yet, I still got my Salem Special! My husband (who doesn’t eat any peppers, olives, etc.) was thrilled with all the cheese on the pepperoni pizza.

Not what it used to be or maybe I am old idk. And for some reason everyone thinks 2 cups of dressing is enough for a salad that serves 6 ppl. Really that means minimum 6 cups of dressing. Don’t be stingy.

I did not care for Pizza Man at all. They are way too expensive. They are just trying to be like Imo’s pizza with a thin crust and mozzarella cheese. The only thing different is they don’t have provel, but would I return there again, no. They are definitely not worth the price and their pizza was cold and had some black stuff on the bottom of it. Don’t waste your money.

We ordered a large pizza and family salad with a pitcher of soda. Our order was correct and the pizza was hot and salad fresh. I enjoy eating in the restaurant as well because it is decorated similar to another Pizza Man I used to eat lunch in as a teen.
