Owner was EXTREMELY rude to me the first time I had ever visited there. At the checkout, she actually kept my change of over $10 after ringing up my food! I thought maybe I had misunderstood something somehow, but when I asked her about it, she took the bowl of rice out of my to-go bag (why?)and said something in Chinese- then walked to the back and disappeared through the kitchen doors. Very bizarre. Also, I’ve been over-charged twice here now and the food was barely sub-par. Use discretion if you are wanting to visit here. And when you’re being rang up at the cash register, keep a VERY CAREFUL, WATCHFUL EYE ON WHAT SHE RINGS UP ON YOUR TICKET! Charges for things will seem to just start to appear without explanation- like I said, it happened to me TWICE. Just trying to forewarn anyone I possibly can before they get duped like I did. I will not be returning here. It’s not worth it, not in any way whatsoever.

Definitely the worst restaurant I’ve been in. The noodles were hard and the food was disgusting. The sweet tea tasted old and left an after taste and the ice cream scoop was sitting in what looked like old dish water. Please save the trip and don’t go. It was cheap but worst food ever.

A family member being allergic to shrimp, we made sure we ordered a house special fried rice without shrimp and a portion of shrimp separately and a portion of fried wings. Upon arriving home, we got the portion of shrimp as ordered but shrimp was present in the house special fried rice after repeatedly making it known that a person was allergic to it. Long story short, we returned the food and was treated as if we were a bunch of idiots. We could easily say it was because we were blacks but I will refrain from such accusations. The level of professionalism was zero and they have lost the business of a family of 6 and my colleagues and the work will be notified of their outrages behavior.

Small town china buffet sure , but the lady who owns the place is the nicest lady you’ll every meet , her kids help sometime and husband does all the cooking. Just a great family ran business! oh yeah, the food is delicious and buffet is always great!!

The Hartsville China Buffet is by far the best China Buffet within a hundred miles radius. I don’t, but could eat here everyday. It’s family owned and run. Very friendly. The buffet is always delicious and a large variety and selection. The pricing is more than fair. There’s nothing at all to complain about. I’d drive 50 miles out of my way to eat here. Keep up the good work Hartsville China Buffet.
