Everything was great! But the bacon Mac n cheese with the home made cheese sauce…. Amazing! Also the beans with pulled pork in them, almost drove back just to get seconds! I definitely should have ordered an extra side of those bad boys.. To top it all off, that CORN bread… dear lawd have mercy on my soul! See y’all again soon.. (p.s y’all should have warned me that pork loin was gonna be wrapped in bacon, lord almighty …)

We stopped by at the end of their day. Pulling in, the two guys running the shack were very friendly and brought our food out to us. The food was delicious and quite hot even though we arrived 30m before closing. The portions were also good for the price and the taste was spectacular. It’s definitely the best BBQ for miles.

This place was amazing everything tasted super good they helped us get the food In The car and whilst driving home it filled the whole cabin with the best aroma I’ve ever smelt.once I opened my rack of ribs my jaw hit the floor their portions are crazy. Very good sauce great people

First time eating at the Backwoods Eatery. It was very good! Babyback ribs were tasty. Unique homemade bbq sauce. The baked beans had pulled pork in them. That was a nice surprise! Coleslaw and corn bread was good too! Welcome to Jay!

My husband and I stopped there tonight on our way home, we got the chicken and brisket baskets, I just want to let you guys know that your food is amazing and so tender and flavorful, I never like coleslaw other than KFC’s but your coleslaw is very good. We will definitely be back again! Thank you

The service was lovely and fast for being so fresh. Not to mention the food quality! OMG!!! -REAL- burgers, sausage, and fries! Not this hydrogenated, processed junk you get most places. It truly is a diamond. I won’t even say it’s in the rough, only because if they polished it anymore it wouldn’t be fair. You make it hurt so good First spot trying in Maine and I was beyond impressed with the scenery. Even with the traffic in the background, it was drown out by the lovely potted Habiscus flowers and the nature that surrounds it.

There’s no half stars. Not impressed took my fiance here for ribs. They are horrible he says. Very tough, very little meat. Not recommended. Not to mention you can smell trash as your at the tables. 55.00 gone!!
