My experience was a little better then most that review here, came here about 1pm and got the pulled chicken dinner, very fresh and could get two sandwiches out of one. House made potato salad and beans.

Nope. 1pm Tues. I had the pulled pork sandwich combo. The pork was dry and only a little warm. The bun was out of the refrigerator cold. The sauce from a bottle was cold. Very disappointed looking a the reviews I expected better. I won’t go back.

I am really surprised at the 4 and 5 star reviews. The food here is horrible, and expensive for what it is. We watched them take the beans out of a big open generic can and microwave them. Then charged me $6. The fries came out of a chaffing dish, they were soggy, mealy and stale. The ovens are off, the kitchen is mostly just warmers, and this is at lunch time. No ketchup, no napkins, the food area is dirty and sticky, and the meat was old and processed tasting. We spent almost $30 for lunch and the whole experience was really bad. Sorry BBQ Train, your website looks good, but you dont have food to match. I am embarrassed for you.

Decided to go here for lunch today. Wish I hadn’t to be honest. I decided on the brisket. Wasnt impressed at all. It didnt taste like it had been smoked at all. Was in tiny little shredded pieces. Tasted and looked like shredded Arbys roast beef. You could also tell it wasnt fresh but reheated. Paid 13 bucks for a nasty sandwich and fries. Never again BBQ Train. I will go to Carsons where the bbq us actually smoked.

We wanted a catering order of 30lbs or pulled pork, buns, and warmers for our wedding. They asked for a $400 deposit, telling us the total would be $800 for all of it. Once we have them the 400, we paid a little more towards it as time went on because they said we could, but then they started changing the deal by saying buns were not included and we needed to pay an extra $100. Then it was the warmers, another $150, and finally the total came out to $1200 after all the fees and once they had our money.

This place sucks… We live across the street and decided to try it tonight. Their cheeseburger was like something out of a high school cafeteria (microwaved probably). The pulled pork sand which was dry. The side of baked beans was straight out of a can of bushes baked beans, and the sides were tiny. The menu has very limited options. I guess I’m not surprised as they are attached to a gas station. Save your money and go to another place.

I’d say the best pulled pork in all of Bloomington you can’t get it anywhere else this good in town! You need to make it out here and get you a pulled pork sandwich and loaded pork fries they are perfect!!

I judge bbq joints by their ribs.the ribs here are good.not smack yo mama good, but good.i would say neck and neck with butchers block smokehouse.a whole heck of a lot better than carsons ribs (oven baked ribs ugh! don’t ever go there, the food is trash) not too many GOOD bbq places in this sector of indiana.im not sure about their other dishes but I can say that their ribs are good.i gave an extra star because carsons ribs in bloomington and smokin jims in Bedford is just so terrible.
