What more can you ask for? Excellent Chef, excellent food that was freshly prepared and hot, excellent Ethiopian coffee which was freshly made from the beans and excellent service. There is a very good selection of dishes from which to choose which also includes vegan and vegetarian options. Chef Winnie defnitely is A+!

We use Chef Winnie’s for catering events all the time and we LOVE it!! Her food is so yummy and everyone who eats it raves about it. Chef Winnie is always so great to work with and puts a smile on our faces. Definitely give this place a visit.

So amazing! I got to have a wonderful conversation with chef Winnie and she is just a gem. She genuinely cares about her community and making it a better, more welcoming place for all. Not only is she an amazing human, but her food was so fresh and flavorful. I got the chicken tibs, and it was the best lunch I’ve had in a while. Definitely will be back, glad to see she has lots of other options for food for my picky toddler as well.

We had a phenomenal dinner this evening at Chef Winnie’s Kitchen. Visiting from Knoxville, TN and wanted to try something different so I decided to google top 10 rated restaurants in the vicinity of Stone Mountain Campground.Honestly, it wasn’t what we expected walking up to it but we left there so happy we stayed. Chef Winnie was so warm and friendly; she makes you feel so welcome and explained the menus to us. It will definitely be a favorite when in the area again. I told her I wish we had her closer to home!!

We visited Chef Winnie’s Kitchen yesterday, and I am glad I found them. The Chef lady owns the restaurant and has been there in this business for the last 34 years. The restaurant is a cozy place to be with friends/family. She has worked with some of the major hotel chain in the world, like Ritz Carlton. She is the most amazing Ethiopian Chef I have ever met in Atlanta. Her food taste was very authentic and, to my surprise, very different from some of the famous restaurants in the city. We learned that she doesn’t use any rising agents or preservatives in her Injera(s). She makes dishes(like Jackfruit curry, etc) which she learned and is widespread in Ethiopia (her home country). She believes in giving an Ethiopian authentic food experience in the US. The vegetable soup was outstanding. She makes all the dishes(including salad dressings) fresh every day from scratch. She is an undergraduate and graduate degree holder in Culinary Arts and currently pursuing a Ph.D. in International Trade. She was kind enough to show us her kitchen, and I was amazed to see the cleanliness and hygiene. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Please do come, visit and experience yourself!

My friend I had read the recommendation for Chef Winnie’s which was posted on Facebook by Wendell Brock of of the AJC so we thought we would see if it was as unique and delicious as he said! We were not disappointed! We tried her tasty, perfectly-seasoned Ethiopian combo platter of meat with a colorful array of vegetable sides. A special treat was the lovely service of Ethiopian coffee as the perfect ending to our meal. One highlight was that Chef Winnie came out to personally serve and welcome us, so that we felt we found a friend as well as a special place that we want to revisit and share with other friends!
