Lots of seating with outside deck lakeside views. Very popular place as seating was nearly full with quick turnaround. Seating was quick. Huge bar with luxurious hightop seating. Food was awesome!

Stopped to look at eagles and turkey vultures in Lake City and my wife saw their sign saying new ownership and menu. If someone is brave enough to buy a restaurant in our world today, I should be brave enoigh to try. We sat on a deck which gave us a nice view of the lake (& the eagles). I had a blue cheese burger with steak fries and she had grilled cheese on texas toast and a salad with strawberry vinaigrette. Both were very good. Just a word about the steak fries. Usually they are thick cut which leads to uneven cooking. Here they were thin which was marvelous. They do have a modest selection of local craft beer, which means you are not stuck with Miller or Bud. I think ee will stop here agsin. Probably intentionally rathet than on a whim

Service great but food was poorly prepared. Crab Bisque had a very off flavor like it was old did not taste fresh. We returned it. Fried chicken in the sandwich was raw with only the batter level cooked. We returned the raw chicken sandwich. I complained that the bisque was horrible but they still billed me. Looking at the overall reviews of this place it looks like it’s “feast” or “famine” if you eat here. Only 2nd meal I have every returned in over 50 years of dining out. Will not return.

The drinks from bar were well prepared. Dinner for four was very good, including shrimp dinners, to steaks. We had an excellent dessert which we all shared – fantastic.

We stopped after reading another review, best decision of our day! We shared the crab hush puppies (delicious, the green goddess dressing was perfect for dipping) and the pork belly sandwich (soooo good) plus we each had a flight of craft beers (loved everything we tried).

Recent new owners have certainly improved the quality of both food and service. Be prepared for a hefty bill. Don’t get me wrong, good quality ingredients but a high price for serving size. A great range of drinks. I’d go again for a special occasion but it’s too expensive for a regular place to eat.

It was our first visit to Lake House on Pepin, and ended up there partly because they were open on a Monday holiday and other restaurants were closed. We ate on the porch, which has a terrific view of Lake Pepin. Our servers were excellent! They were very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. They were available and ready to help, but not overbearing in any way. I had their salmon special of the day and it was delicious! I completely enjoyed every bite of the meal. I can’t think of anything that could have been improved – we were all very pleased with our experience here, and will plan to come back.
