We had dinner at the Mellow Mushroom in June, 2023. We ordered a medium pie. It was pretty good. We didn’t finish it. But that was the plan. Better too much than not enough. And the larger pie wasn’t much more.

This mellow mushroom is easy better than the one on Pensacola. The calzones were bigger and better and the spinach dip was absolutely delicious. That calzone fed 3 of us.

Thought I would enjoy some pizza. It was alright but I had to do Uber eats so I’m sure it was amazing fresh and not in a weird car for 20 min delivery. I got the large and it was a little too much to eat in one sitting so I was able to save it for an extra day.

Knowledgeable friendly bar server about food and beer. Fresh food. We tried something different than our usual pizza. While my pepperoni garlic bread was good, my favorite is still the shiitake mushroom pizza.

This is a great restaurant. A little on the small size but it makes for a cozy atmosphere. The drinks are well-poured and they have two great “local” mixed drinks, Grateful Dead and Liquid Marijuana. The pretzel bites were great as well as the Funky Q Chicken pizza. The staff are friendly and attentive. I’m glad I stopped in.

I go every couple weeks. I’ve always loved the pizza. But last week is was not good. At $2 per ingredient it was very disappointing to see a couple of pieces of each and the flavor overall, was extremely bland. I will go one more time, hoping that night was a fluke. But if it turns out another really dull pizza, I will move on

I love mellow, but lately the service at Old Shell hasn’t been that great. A previous time a few weeks ago, there was hair in the pizza twice: the first pizza, and then again in the new one to make up for the first one. And this time, the club sandwich was missing avocado and olives (no photo as it was my friend’s). Plus, I added chicken to my Greek salad which was an up charge of $4, but it seemed to be about 2 ounces worth. About 1/4 of palm size (posted pic of salad). The bruschetta (also posted) was good
